Job Overview
The sr. Mgr. Supply Chain Excellence is part of the BU Central Supply Chain team and is responsible for driving BU global Supply Chain performance by contributing to the BU Supply Chain strategy development and process improvements in close collaboration with the Sub-Vertical Supply Chain teams and internal functions and stakeholders like Customer Care, Sales Operations, Logistics, Finance, Operations.
The sr. Manager Supply Chain Excellence reports to the BU Director Supply Chain and leads a team of Supply Chain experts driving process standardization and optimization of the E2E Supply Chain, including the implementation of SC tools and systems and collaboration with Suppliers and Key Customers.
Main tasks:
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain Excellence & Standardization
- Review, benchmark, and assess Supply Chain best practices across manufacturing plants, shared value streams (SVs), and Sub‑Verticals.
- Participate in development of BU and Sub-verticals Supply Chain strategy
- Lead the design, rollout, and governance of standardized Supply Chain processes, KPIs, and operating models across the Business Unit.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on processes and resilience.
- Ensure alignment of Supply Chain ways of working with corporate standards while addressing local operational needs.
Digital Enablement & IT Architecture
- Review existing Supply Chain IT tools, data architecture, and system integrations to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Support implementation and scaling of digital Supply Chain solutions across plants and sub‑verticals.
Corporate & Business Unit Interface
- Acts as the liaison between Corporate Supply Chain and Business Unit Supply Chain teams for the assigned scope.
- Translate corporate initiatives, policies, and maturity roadmaps into clear, actionable deliverables for local Supply Chain organizations.
- Provide structured feedback from the Business Unit to Corporate teams to influence future strategy and tool development.
- Ensure transparency, alignment, and effective communication across all levels of the organization.
Governance & Capability Building
- Design and lead a Supply Chain governance and upskilling program across sub‑verticals.
- Establish forums, communities of practice and review cadences to ensure best‑practice sharing and compliance.
- Develop and deploy training materials, playbooks and maturity assessments to elevate Supply Chain capabilities.
- Mentor and coach Supply Chain leaders and key talents to build long‑term organizational excellence.
Key Deliverables & Outcomes
- One harmonized set of Supply Chain standards and best practices adopted across the Business Unit
- Improved end‑to‑end visibility and decision‑making enabled by optimized IT tools and data architecture
- Strong alignment between Corporate Supply Chain strategy and Business Unit execution
- Elevated Supply Chain capability maturity and knowledge consistency across sub‑verticals
Your ideal bacground:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain, Logistics, Economics, or similar
- 10+ years’ cross functional experience in Supply Chain in an international organization with Global complex supply chains.
- Experience in collaborating with suppliers and customers on Supply Chain processes and achieving significant process improvements on the area of (consignment) inventory management, service levels and forecasting and lead time reduction.
- Extensive functional knowledge of planning, forecasting and related integrated supply chain areas.
- Experienced successful in leading remote international teams
- Experience of working in the Industrial sector, preferably in a high mix low volume environment
Hard skills
- Experienced in leading cross functional projects and/or distributed business teams
- Strong project management skills and ability to multi-task
- Experience in multiple Supply Chain areas, understanding and able to optimize x-functional interdependencies
- Ability to oversee broad and complex end-to-end Supply Chain environment
- Integral thinking and can optimize processes cross functional
- Advanced user of IT tools like: SAP ECC & MM, MicroSoft office: Powerpoint, Excel. Experience with SAP-IPB is a plus
