The Global Operations Quality Senior Manager is responsible for driving and coordinating all quality-related activities across product group [cable / connector] within the DDN Business Unit. The role supports all factories that manufacture products within the product group, ensuring the achievement of key quality metrics such as Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ), Total Complaints Per Shipment [TCPS], Safe Launch effectiveness, and systemic issue resolution.
While factory quality is owned by site operations, this position provides strategic quality leadership, ensures consistent execution of global quality standards, and strengthens collaboration among product-group factories. The Senior Manager acts as a key partner to engineering, operations, supplier quality, and customer teams to ensure robust quality performance and risk mitigation throughout the product lifecycle.
This position contributes to BU level quality strategies through alignment with the Global Operations Quality Director, serving as the quality interface for assigned product groups and ensuring readiness, compliance, and continuous improvement across all supporting factories.
Job Requirements
Position Responsibilities:
Operational Quality Leadership for Assigned Product Group
• Drive product-group quality strategy and execution across all supporting factories to ensure consistent achievement of CoPQ, TPPM, and customer-return metrics.
• Facilitate and animate the quality network for assigned factories, ensuring alignment to BU-level priorities and standardized quality practices.
• Support systemic problem-solving through coordination and facilitation of 8D, PFMEA, DFMEA, and read across activities.
Program & Launch Quality
• Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) activities for the product group, supporting APQP deliverables, risk assessments, and process capability validations.
• Ensure robust Safe Launch execution at receiving sites for dual-site or multi-site deployments related to the assigned product group.
• Review and confirm readiness of control plans, SPC, and capability metrics for new or modified programs.
Customer & ODM Quality Interface (Product Group Level)
• Provide quality support to customer and ODM accounts relevant to the assigned product group.
• Support issue escalation, root-cause analysis, and timely corrective action closure.
• Participate in key customer reviews, technical discussions, and quality improvement initiatives.
Factory Quality Support (Product Group Level)
• Conduct regular factory visits and audits for assigned factories to ensure quality systems performance, process capability, and compliance.
• Partner with local factory quality teams to improve yield, reduce defects, and enhance manufacturing robustness.
• Lead cross-factory benchmarking and best-practice sharing within the product group.
Supplier Quality & Cross Functional Collaboration
• Collaborate with Supplier Quality Engineering to ensure supplier PPAP readiness and incoming quality robustness.
• Work closely with Engineering, Operations, and Program Management to address quality risks proactively.
• Support quality documentation, deviations, change management, and risk assessments as required.
Reporting & Analytics
• Provide regular updates to the Global Operations Quality Director on quality performance, risks, systemic issues, and progress toward product group objectives.
• Analyze and interpret quality data to detect trends, escalate concerns, and drive preventive actions.
What your background should look like
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical discipline.
• 8–12 years of experience in quality engineering, manufacturing quality, or advanced quality roles.
• Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (8D, SPC, PFMEA/DFMEA, APQP, PPAP, DOE, CpK analysis).
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, VDA, and other relevant quality systems.
• Proven ability to work across multiple factories, functions, and cultures.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface with customers, suppliers, and cross functional teams.
• Proficient in English and Mandarin. Other additional languages will be an advantage.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Experience in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement preferred.
• Ability to influence without authority across global manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge in data center architecture, connectors, wire harnesses, busbars, High-Speed connectivity products, high voltage, electronics, measurement & signal processing will
