Key Responsibilities 

Global Program Management & Enablement 

• Lead global program management for ION AI and Smart Factory initiatives across ION and selected BUs, ensuring clear governance, roadmap alignment, milestone tracking, risk management, and stakeholder communication. 

• Establish and operate a structured program management cadence, including portfolio reviews, leadership updates, execution dashboards, issue escalation, dependency management, and value tracking. 

• Act as the PMO lead for active AI and Smart Factory programs by helping teams connect with the right business, plant, engineering, TEIS, data, and functional experts required to advance initiatives. 

• Coordinate global enablement activities, including playbooks, deployment toolkits, adoption guides, communications, training materials, and reusable templates to accelerate scale. 

Use Case Identification & Business Case Development 

• Partner with plant leaders, operations teams, ION functions, BUs, COEs, and SMEs to identify high-value operational pain points and translate them into clearly defined AI, digital, automation, and Smart Factory use cases. 

• Develop robust business cases with quantified benefits, implementation requirements, value drivers, adoption implications, risk considerations, and scalability potential. 

• Prioritize initiatives based on business value, readiness, feasibility, standardization potential, data availability, technology fit, and alignment to the ION Smart Factory roadmap. 

• Maintain a balanced portfolio of opportunities ranging from quick-win automation and analytics to more advanced AI-enabled and Smart Factory capabilities. 

Process, AI & Digital Solution Enablement 

• Apply strong process acumen across manufacturing, quality, supply chain, planning, maintenance, logistics, and operational excellence to ensure solutions address root causes rather than symptoms. 

• Assess the right-fit technology approach for each use case, including process simplification, standardization, low-code/no-code automation, workflow automation, RPA, data visualization, advanced analytics, AI/ML, IoT, MES integration, or other Smart Factory capabilities. 

• Coordinate automation and IMR (Industrial Mobile Robots) project development and deployment, working with plant teams, engineering, TEIS/IT, vendors, and SMEs to ensure safe, scalable, and value-driven implementation. 

Qualifications 

Education 

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Information Technology, Business, or related field required. 

Experience 

• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing, operations, program management, process excellence, digital transformation, Smart Factory, AI enablement, supply chain, or related roles. 

• Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional, global programs with business, operations, engineering, and IT stakeholders. 

• Experience working with manufacturing plants and operational SMEs is strongly preferred. 

• Experience with Industry 4.0, Smart Factory, AI/ML, advanced analytics, automation, MES, ERP, IoT, or related digital manufacturing capabilities preferred. 

Technical & Business Skills 

• Strong program management skills, including roadmap management, governance, stakeholder communication, risk management, dependency tracking, and executive reporting. 

• Working knowledge of AI, automation, analytics, Smart Factory platforms, IoT, MES, ERP, data visualization, and enterprise IT delivery models. 

• Ability to determine the right toolset for the business problem - from simple process changes or automation to advanced AI-enabled solutions.

Generally requires Bachelors degree in appropriate field with 12 or more years of experience; or Masters with 10 or more years of experience; or PhD level with 6 or more years of experience; or local equivalent
