Job Overview

This role will be lead a team of process development and automation engineers tasked with developing assembly processes for busbar assemblies and coordinating with the manufacturing engineering team on the transition to mass production.

Job Requirements

  • Allocate and balance the work across direct reports; review and provide timely performance feedback to direct reports; mentor, develop and motivate them; help resolve people/functional issues in the team to achieve targeted performance and retain key talent.

    Lead a team of engineers who will:

    • Develop power cable assembly manufacturing process in accordance with LEANPD product development.
    • Drive for excellence in existing manufacturing technologies and methods.
    • Strive to implement new manufacturing technologies to provide improved process and tolerance control.
    • Support Product Development in the optimization designs (DFM) and piece parts for manufacturability; realizes sample tooling, product samples and prototypes.
    • Design, develop, and qualify tooling and processes to meet TE DDN quality and production standards.
    • Support supply chain to verify supplier compliance and capability.
    • Act as the binding element between product development and manufacturing engineering, ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of this critical interface.
    • Maintain communication with project management team to understand current and future strategic business needs
    • Prioritize and time manage a portfolio of projects/work efforts based on criticality and business need
    • Provide readouts to Director and VP level cross function management as necessary
    • Work with Thailand operations team to assign resources necessary for the successful execution of new product development
    • Facilitate and coordinate cross-function communication across globally matrixed organizations

What your background should look like

  1. Bachelor or above degree with mechanical/electric related majors;

2. At least 8 years managerial level experience related in multinational manufacturing site;

3. Familiar with Lean, Six Sigma. etc. industrial methods/tools;

4. With 12 years or above work experience in busbar assembly industry is preferred;

5. Fluent in English and good presentation skills;

6. Familiar with MS software;
