Job Overview

The Channel Manager EMEA is responsible for the management of our EMEA Channel and Distribution Partners. Reporting directly to the Director Sales EMEA, the Channel Sales Manager is responsible to develop a Go to Market Strategy with the objective to grow the Sensors Business through a selected number of Channel and Distribution Partners in EMEA Region including India. The Channel Manager is developing the sales and support infrastructure and leadership to the EMEA Channel Partners and enable our partners to successfully generate and convert business opportunities with desired speed to market. The role can be based across EMEA. 

What you will be doing:

  • Being responsible for growing our Sensors Portfolio (Pressure, Force, Humidity, Photonics, Speed, Temperature) via international Channel Partners as well as regional Distributors
  • Analyzing our current partner network and channel business, evaluate and select the future preferred channel organization using transparent Score Card/ Audit method
  • Formulate a clear strategy for the organization and to our partners
  • Build a winning team and organize sales, inside sales and technical resources to support channel sales to execute a go-to-market strategy
  • Work with Product Management, Sales and Channel to define preferred channel product portfolio and drive periodic line card adoption
  • Build strategic, executive level customer relationships, demonstrate TE capabilities and technologies to the customer base
  • Review and update as needed legal framework/contracts of working with channel and distribution
  • Design and execute yearly Partnership Sales Agreements
  • Measure progress on agreed objectives such sales, lead generation, new product sales, design wins and stock levels/stock turnover rates.
  • Design specific KPIs to drive the business
  • Focus on selected applications, industries and customers
  • Cluster todays direct accounts and evaluate a preferred partner (s) to take-over low dollar sales customers. Negotiate a support and firm sales commitment to transfer a significant portion of direct customers to channel/Distribution
  • Define a pricing strategy to support lead generation and conversions.
  • Implement stock levels for selected sensor products (Warehouse agreements)
  • Close alignment with Customer Care and Supply chain to ensure competitive, on time deliveries

What your background should look like:

  • Degree in business and/or engineering field (electronics/ electrical / mechanical engineering)
  • Manager with 10 years + experience in solving sales/business tasks, preferably sensors/microelectronics, Industrial Automation with Direct and Distribution Sales.
  • Entrepreneurial Mind Set and leadership skills to drive for results in a global matrix organization.
  • Experience within electronics industry (B2B), Experience in selling successfully electronic components (catalogue type but need to understand/explain application and datasheets)
  • Experience with Marketing and Sales Campaigns
  • Leadership skills with ability to successfully lead and develop diverse teams in a complex international matrix environment
  • Exposure to large company processes and KPI driven
