Job Overview
Reporting to the ICT Vice President of Global Operations, the Sr. Director of Global Continuous Improvement will provide overall leadership for the deployment and achievement of TEOA goals across all regions and all locations of the Sensors BU.

TEOA Program development, organization & deployment
- Take the ICT BU to the next level of lean systems understanding, execution, and results.
- Drive the plants towards the highest level on TEOA Star levels execution.
- Construct the TEOA support organization that facilitates steady progress of TEOA attainment within Operations (including manufacturing, S&OP, supply chain, procurement, quality and EHS etc). Once the Operations TEOA deployment is well underway, expand TEOA support for other areas of the business (PjM, Engineering, Sales, Product Management, Strategy and HR)
- Ensure the suitable TEOA education goals and candidates are identified for each Operations facility. Ensure that the training of such individuals are delivered on an expedient basis.
- Construct a plan of action for each site and applicable functions that ensures achievement of TEOA attainment levels on a timely basis.
- Set up governance to make sure that the team is well coordinated and lead.
Productivity & Performance (TEBIT Ownership)
- Own TEBIT productivity performance for the ICT Business Unit.
• Lead cost reduction initiatives aligned with benchmark gaps and regional priorities.
• Define productivity potential and steer annual and monthly Productivity Action Plans.
• Strengthen operational flow through layout optimization, continuous flow, pull systems, and lead time reduction.
- Deploy Lean tools to improve production reliability, changeover performance, line balancing, and labor efficiency.
Deployment of Key Productivity Levers
This role will directly support and govern the global deployment of:
- Conversion Cost initiatives (labor efficiency, overtime, flex HC, indirect optimization, variable cost, consumables) and how all this metrics will impact into the P&L
- Material Productivity programs (scrap reduction, yield improvement, consumption control)
- OMP/Operations Master Planning for capacity, resources, and manufacturing footprint
- VAVE initiatives to drive product cost competitiveness and design‑to‑value
- Supply Chain improvement programs (SIOP, inventory optimization, flow, replenishment models)
TEOA Program execution and achievement
- Develop an annual TEOA attainment plan for each region, site and applicable function; gain concurrence of that plan with BU leadership, Segment TEOA and Corporate TEOA. Achieve such attainment plans on an annual basis. Attainment plans are to include specific tools & metrics star level attainment, key KPIs and other supporting actions to achieve the ultimate TEOA attainment goals.
- Focus to be placed on rapidly enhancing the Level 1 PIM board deployment / refinement, to ensure hourly tracking of cell output, and enhancing the visual factory elements, to make the factories much more visually oriented and managed.
- Deliver training, coaching and counsel to all applicable sites and functions on TEOA tools deployment. Develop annual goal and achieve such goal as to number of employees trained on TEOA tools.
- Personally conduct transformation and other smaller productivity workshops to help the sites / functions learn and achieve improvement. Develop annual goal and achieve such as to the number of workshops to be accomplished by each site.
- Achieve the KPI (key performance indicators) of ICT Operations with respect to safety (TRIR), quality (TCPS), inventory (DOH), productivity (materials / conversion), delivery (OTD) and gross margin by focusing, supporting and in some cases leading TEOA activity that is focused on improving these key metrics.
What your background should look like

- At least 15 years of discrete manufacturing experience at an integrated Tier-One automotive supplier or companies deeply utilizing lean systems based on the Toyota Production System. The candidate should live and breathe the system and know all of the elements and tools deeply.
- At least 7 years as Plant Manager + Operations Director for a multi-site Tier-One Automotive supplier or with companies deeply utilizing lean systems based on the Toyota Production System, with a demonstrably deep and effective lean system based on TPS.
- Proven and significant experience and results working within and implementing full lean systems in manufacturing sites at a tier-one automotive supplier or with companies deeply utilizing lean systems based on the Toyota Production System, for at least 10 years.
- Specific Lean process leadership. Emphasis on proven success in developing people in the lean disciplines and system.
- Possess strong and sound operations discipline and convictions; Proven success in these areas is a must
- Deep and demonstrated understanding of the total TPS and the connections between all tools and structure for TEOA. They can explain why we do what we do in all subjects of TEOA.
- Strong people & operational leadership skills: Person of true convictions; Willing to stand up for those convictions; Able to communication, reinforce and coach/counsel others on those convictions; Unafraid of change / improvemen
- Ability to prioritize very well and maintain appropriate balance in a fast-paced, heavy-workload environment
- Sound problem-solving skills in both functional areas of operations and interpersonal relationship management
- Bachelors degree in a technical or business discipline
- Graduate degree in business (i.e. MBA) is highly desired but not a requirement
- Language skills: Excellent English (verbal / written) required, and Spanish will be a nice plus
Work Location: Remote based in North America ( US or Mexico)
Travel Requirements: Approximately 60% (domestic and international)
