Job Overview

Responsible to be the key finance business partner to the Operations site leader and other members of the management staff to support plant performance analysis and manufacturing variances review and promote productivity improvements to achieve the financial results. Job duties include preparation of quarterly forecasts, annual budget, close activities and various other ad hoc analyses. Responsible for accurate financial consolidation and analysis to make recommendations to management based on findings and results and the cost accounting. This role will also support similar activities and responsibilities for the Redwood City, CA facility.

Job Requirements

  • Prepare quarterly forecasts and the annual operating budget.

  • Participate in monthly financial close activities.

  • Analyze manufacturing and cost variances.

  • Review expense accounts at month-end and explain significant variances.

  • Perform accurate financial consolidation and analysis to provide recommendations to management.

  • Manage and analyze cost accounting activities.

  • Handle cost requests for new models, including urgent cases.

  • Monitor and analyze the cost of material nonconformities as a scrap prevention measure.

  • Analyze inventory levels and reserves.

  • Actively participate in annual physical inventory and cycle count audits.

  • Participate in internal control audits.

  • Identify cost data improvement opportunities.

  • Promote continuous improvement initiatives and review savings project calculations.

  • Provide financial support to plant users regarding manufacturing variances impacting budgets.

What your background should look like

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years as an Accounting Supervisor.

  • Minimum 3 years as a Cost Accountant.

Technical Skills:

  • Cost accounting

  • Variance analysis

  • Budgeting and forecasting

  • SAP / MRP

  • Intermediate to advanced Excel

  • Internal audits and inventory processes

Languages:

  • Advanced English
