Engineer Automotive Measurement (m/f/d)

Job Overview


Engineer responsible for sensor calibration and test technology (SCT).

What you will be doing

  • Drive the development and standardization of sensor calibration and test (SCT) tools in an interdisciplinary, international team.
  • The scope of TE standards includes mechanics, electronics, software, design rules, PFMEA, process and technology guidelines, checklists, templates, system, requirements and test management, and lessons learned.
  • You elicit, document and evaluate the requirements of the entire system using the ALM tool Codebeamer.
  • You coordinate the requirements with the software development and take over the commissioning, verification and release of the measurement system and the software for new ICs and test sequences and train product and process development engineers in their use
  • Set-up and release of SCT processes and machines using, among others: MSA, process capability, ANOVA and other 6 Sigma tools
  • Perform or support software and P-FMEA, DOE, risk assessments, process and hazard analysis, analysis of complaints and verification of corrective actions

What your background should look like

  • Completed studies in electrical engineering, mathematics, physics or a comparable education
  • At least 5 years of experience in requirements definition, sensor and/or em-bedded software development
  • Experience with ALM tools (esp. requirements analysis) like Codebeamer
  • Very good knowledge of sensor elements and technologies, especially: Hall, 3D Hall, PLCD, GMR, and velocity sensors, as well as software and systems development, design, requirements analysis, architecture, and testing
  • Experience with refactoring methods, design thinking, pattern and object oriented do-cumentation and standardization skills.
  • Ideally, you have a DFSS Green or Black Belt and are proficient in Lean tools
  • Knowledge of quality systems and international technical standards (IATF 16949, ISO26262, Automotive Spice)
  • You work independently and on your own responsibility, strong communication skills
  • Fluent English, good German language skills
