Senior ServiceNow Architect (m/f/d)

Job Overview

TE Connectivity is looking for a Senior ServiceNow Senior Architect (m/f/d) within its global acting ITSM Solutions team. We operate Incident, Change, Problem, Knowledge, IT Asset, Con-figuration Management and Request Fulfillment processes. In addition, we provide a service portal for all enterprise users with a comprehensive and growing self-service catalog. All processes are closely aligned with ITIL and the "Service Now out of the box" functionalities.

What you will be doing

  • Create and manage the strategies and roadmap for the enterprise-wide Ser-viceNow cloud instance, embedding the goals into the company's IT and business strategy
  • Provide ServiceNow platform and integration design expertise to meet business needs
  • Communicate technical aspects and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Evaluate ServiceNow implementations across multiple modules/applications and propose technical recommendations/solutions based on industry best practices
  • Maintain documentation of overall ServiceNow strategy and roadmap and ServiceNow instance governance
  • Evaluate new and existing system integrations and apply industry best practices for error handling, performance optimization, and overall security compliance related to data security and technical controls
  • Work with process owners and stakeholders to develop and support our configuration management database (CMDB) from the maintenance and control process lifecycle to ensure data integrity and accuracy
  • Act as a technical subject matter expert to support large and complex ServiceNow implementations and certify solution design of strategic technologies such as ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, Portal, Mobile, Virtual Agent and Artificial Intelligence, and other modules
  • Key role in ServiceNow upgrades to ensure there is no business impact
  • Leverage both proven and innovative technology approaches to solve challenging business problems
  • Drive ITIL processes and ServiceNow out-of-the-box solutions
  • Closely align with ServiceNow user group and community

What your background should look like

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical field, such as computer science, computer engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • More than 10 years of IT experience with at least 5 years of ServiceNow experience working on ITSM, CMDB and ITOM processes
  • Strong experience with configuration and development on the ServiceNow platform
  • Experience in application design, infrastructure architecture, database architecture, networks and distributed systems
  • ServiceNow certification (preferably ServiceNow Implementation Specialist) as well as ITIL v3/V4 basics certification desirable
  • Well versed in modern web technologies and cloud computing architectural principles for cloud-based platforms that include SaaS, PaaS, multi-tenancy, and automation
  • Experience with directory services integration (Active Directory, LDAP, etc.)
  • Single sign-on using various authentication methods (tokens, SAML 1.1, SAML 2.0)
  • Web service integrations (SOAP, REST)
  • Excellent knowledge of ServiceNow best practices and knowledge of the latest ServiceNow features
  • Ability to listen, interpret, build strategies, and advise on complex business processes and technical concepts
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a multi-faceted environment at all levels of the organization
  • Rigorous attention to detail in understanding and documenting nuanced technical concepts
  • Hands-on experience with agile methodologies/tools
  • Effective communication and presentation skills to small as well as larger groups (developers, senior executives and IT management)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German
