Embedded Software Engineer (m/f/d), Hybrid-working

Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s R&D/Product Development Engineering Teams conceive original ideas for new products, introduce them into practice. They are responsible for product development, and qualification from market definition through production and release; assist in the qualification of suppliers for new products to ensure suppliers deliver quality parts, materials, and services for new or improved manufacturing processes; conduct feasibility studies, testing on new and modified designs; direct and support detailed design, testing, prototype fabrication and manufacturing ramp. The R&D/Product Development Engineering Teams provide all required product documentation including, but not limited to, Solid Model, 2D/3D production drawings, product specifications, and testing requirements. They create and modify detailed drawings and drafting or conceptual models from layouts, rough sketches or notes and contribute to design modifications to facilitate manufacturing operation or quality of product. Typical fields of expertise include: materials, mechanics and systems, electrical, optics, chemistry, software, automation systems, packaging, testing and measurement, and manufacturing of electrical, mechanical and electronic components, products, and their integration into systems.

Tasks and Responsibilities

- You work together in a team on embedded software projects for e-mobility in the field of charging technology.
- You accompany the software development from specification to commissioning on the target hardware and production ramp-up.
- You work with the most modern tools and measurement devices for the creation and testing of embedded software
- You create detailed designs for embedded software systems
- You create complex driver and application software for various microcontroller systems
- You define and perform software unit verification tests
- You create technical documents such as specifications, release notes and the like
- You help to improve the software A-SPICE processes
 

Profile

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering or similar.
- At least 3 years of solid working experience in embedded software development for the automotive industry.
- Strong experience in programming embedded software in C/C++ according to MISRA-C
- Knowledge of C# is desirable
- Knowledge of the UML modeling language
- Knowledge of functional safety standards for electrical and electronic systems such as ISO/SAE 26262
- Knowledge of cybersecurity standards for electrical and electronic systems such as ISO/SAE 21434
- Knowledge of communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, SPI
- Knowledge of development process standards e.g. Automotive SPICE
- Experience working with an application lifecycle management tool (ALM), e.g. Polarion, codeBeamer
- Knowledge of electronic hardware
- Good documentation and writing skills
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills
