Process Engineer Sensors (m/f/d)

Job Overview

Realization of manufacturing processes for automotive sensors - representing function Core Team Member Manufacturing in development process of new products and processes.

What your background should look like

  • Bachelor/Master degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
  • More than 3 years of experience in automotive engineering, preferably process engineering or manufacturing engineering of electronic or electromechanical components
  • Know how in process engineering of sensors or electronic assemblies
  • Knowledge of related processes (soldering, resistance welding, electrical calibration) an advantage
  • Strong commitment, flexibility and ability to work under pressure
  • Strong knowledge of relevant automotive standards (APQP, IATF16949, FMEA)
  • Very good 6Sigma knowledge (Black Belt, Green Belt)
  • Knowledge of functional safety processes and requirements (ISO 26262)
  • Strong ability to work in a team, high commitment, flexibility and ability to work under pressure
  • Good knowledge of standard MS applications (Word, Excel, MS Project)
  • English and German at business level

What you will be doing

  • Realization of manufacturing process flows for automotive sensors
  • Responsible Core team member manufacturing in a cross functional interdisciplinary project team /Regional and Global, with Business, Engineering, Finance, Procurement and Quality)
  • Responsible for definition, selection and specification of manufacturing processes
  • Review new product concepts on design-to-manufacturing, determine and develop TRL and MRL
  • Ensure application of design rules and lessons learned in new concepts
  • Realize first class manufacturing processes using standard automotive and 6Sigma toolkits
  • Prepare Calculation data, specification, monitoring capital expenditures
  • Planning, tracking and realization manufacturing equipment (incl. sampling)
  • Documentation acc. IATF16949 and LEANPD
  • Transfer new products and processes to operations
  • Prepare and proceed risk analysis, PFMEA, DOE
