Senior Functional Safety Engineer (m/f/d)

Job Overview
your tasks:
- Planning of measures for functional safety (safety plan)
- Supporting the engineering community in functional safety analyses and procedures, e.g. (FMEA, FMEDA, FTA, DFA)
- Review of functional safety procedures, safety analyses and metrics
- Timely preparation of FSM documentation ("safety case")
- Negotiation and agreement of the required safety targets with the customers
- Coordinate and conduct FS reviews, audits and assessments in accordance with normative standards.
- Review findings, closure rates and follow-up on projects
- Conduct supplier audits and assessments as required
- Communicate regularly with project managers and product and process development technical staff
- Identify and share FSM best practices within the regions and sites
Your Profile
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in electrical engineering or similar
- 3 - 5 years experience
- Preferably professional experience in a technical environment and management systems
- Ability to work in a team
- Fluent in English and German, other languages are an advantage
- Ability to perform electrical circuit analysis
- Knowledge of IC and µC technology
- Preferably software programming skills (Assembler & C)
- Basic knowledge of management systems
- Strong analytical skills
- Crisis management and problem solving
- Willingness to deal with functional safety standards IEC 61508 and ISO 26262
- Basic knowledge of reliability engineering
- Preferably good statistical skills
- Ability to lead intercultural teams
- Preferably knowledge of safety analyses (FMEA, FMEDA, FTA, DFA)
- Good computer skills
