Engineer (m/f/d) functional safety Sensors Transportation

Job Overview

•    Ensuring quality goals within the LEAN PD (Lean Enterprise Accelerated New Product Development) process
•    Attending, collect, record and evaluate Functional Safety Management (FSM)
•    Consultant by deviations during the entire product and process development
•    Ensuring quality documents in line with requirements - in all phases of product and process development, moderation of FMEAs to ensure quality objectives, standards and content
•    Creation of prototypes and pre-series control plans during the LEAN PD phase, if necessary under supervision.
•    Participation in the evaluation of customer requirements with regard to the technical quality requirements (IEC 61508 and ISO 26262) together with the core team review and ensure the relevant requirements, such as PPAP documentation
•    Participation in project reviews and documentation of the results in the 'Lessons Learned' Data Base
•    Support of trainings, seminars, and lectures within the organization. Assists in the introduction and training for FSM Support in the introduction of general FSM standards and procedures in engineering Development and maintenance of the FSM documentation in accordance with the QM system
•    Interface for FSM questions to the customer within the LEAN PD process, consult with complex questions
•    Conducting lectures at the customer Support of customer audits within the LEAN PD process. Participate in the planning and implementation of internal audits and supplier audits regarding FSM

What your background should look like:

•    Engineer specializing in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering (FH / TH) or comparable training
•    +3 years’ experience in a similar field
•    Experience in functional safety management (FSM) processes (ISO 26262)
•    Experience with hardware security (V-model, functional security review) desirable
•    Experience with functional safety analysis (FMEDA, FTA-fault tree analysis- and DFA - dependent failure analysis)
•    Experience in security functional safety documentation
•    Experience in reliability engineering (Weibull statistics, accelerated testing, generic testing, test-to-fail)
•    Experience in automotive cyber security would be desirable
•    Experience in legal aspects of functional safety would be an advantage
•    Independent and project-oriented way of working as well as teamwork
•    Very good communication skills - oral & written - in German and English
•    Willingness to travel within EMEA
