TECHNICAL SALES ENGINEER II
Job Overview
The TECHNICAL SALES ENGINEER (Field Application Engineer) is the primary relationship builder with customers engineering department and plays a crucial role in design-in of new and existing products across all TE IND subverticals. Furthermore this role supports as application subject matter expert the Account Managers and Sales Engineers with broader application and product specific knowledge and acts as an interface between the customer and the TE IND subverticals.
Job Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Demand generation at lead accounts, including driving new product design-ins and identifies possibilities to sell the complete TE product portfolio.
Maintains relationships and ensures high level of customer satisfaction.
Closely collaborates with customer engineering department.
Performs Voice of the Customer and communicates impact to internal stakeholders.
Creates & maintains opportunities in Salesforce.
Attend project meetings and conduct regular customer calls and presentations.
Understands customer application and pain points as well as captures customer requirements and competitive landscape
Discusses customer roadmaps and identifies TE product gaps and new product opportunities
Cooperates with internal stakeholders from various subverticals to generate new products based on customer feedback
Reviews customers technical & quality specifications in alignment with internal stakeholders
First level support for all technical clarifications at customer and follow up on improvements
Organizes internal and external technical application workshops and events (e.g., tech days, trainings)
What your background should look like
Key Qualifications, Experiences & Knowledge
Bachelor’s degree of Engineering in one of the following academic disciplines mechanics, electrics, electronics or similar relevant.
3+ years’ industry experience in engineering (required) and sales (would be an advantage).
Skills & Abilities Required
Outgoing with strong interpersonal and influencing skills and the ability to build strong, credible relationships with customers and internal stakeholders in TE.
General business acumen and strong customer management skills.
Clear, strategic thinker with ability to execute on priorities and work toward targets.
Both English and Chinese language skills are required.
Ability to simplify and explain complex technical matters.
Team player, likes to work with different colleagues from various backgrounds and cultures.
Willingness to travel and visit customers (50-70%).
Self-motivated with a passion for serving and helping customers.
Open minded, think outside of the box.
