Responsibilities:
• Manage team assignments, budget, VA/ VE savings pipeline and project idea generation for the APAC region for Industrial and Medical Sensors
• Develop an engineering expertise across product lines and manufacturing sites to optimize existing Sensors designs for improved cost and quality
• Modify existing designs for reduced costs utilizing new/fewer materials, alternate vendors and improved manufacturing processes
• Coordinate with Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Procurement, Product Management and Operations to identify new VA/ VE opportunities to fill the pipeline for the current and future years
• Lead cross-functional VA/ VE workshops at APAC Sensors sites on a regular cadence
• Meet VA/ VE cost savings pipeline goals for future years as defined in Performance Goals
• Meet VA/ VE costs savings targets for the current year as defined in Performance Goals
• Manage the VA/ VE TEBIT portfolio within the APAC region to ensure targets are met
• Actively manage TEBIT projects to ensure timely completion per the project schedule and within project budget
• Align and communicate with cross-functional teams to complete cost savings projects
• Create reports and analyze data to communicate the savings status for your range
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor of Science in a Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering discipline, Graduate Degrees welcome
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a design or manufacturing environment
Qualifications:
• Experience and ability to lead team a team of 3-4 Design Engineers
• Capability to work with cross-functional teams and drive cooperation and alignment
• Understanding of document and revision control software
, Windchill PDMLink preferred
• Experience with revision control processes to include Engineering Change Requests and Engineering Change Orders
• Understanding of the Product Change Notification (PCN) process
• Familiarity with statistical analysis, Minitab software experience preferred
• Knowledge of Design of Experiments and Multi-Variable studies
• Understanding of Bill of Material cost structures
• Experience with manual assembly and automated assembly processes
• Understanding of the Phase/ Gate process for Sustaining and New Product Development from design initiation to production release
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt training and certification preferred
