Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Strategic Sourcing Teams develop and implement multi-year strategies for assigned commodities, suppliers and parts/services to achieve established goals in supplier quality, delivery, price and service. They align strategy and execution with cross-functional partners such as engineering, manufacturing, product management and functional owners. They execute the competitive bid, negotiation, contracting processes and/or technical continuous improvement for assigned commodities or services; collaborate across Business Units and cross-regions for optimal TE leverage. Our teams demonstrate a high level of expertise in procurement competencies (business/supply chain acumen, negotiation, sourcing strategy development and execution, global savvy, and project and product lifecycle management) and ensure results are delivered compliant with TE policies and procedures.

What your background should look like:

Tasks Summary & Responsibilities 
    Lead Material productivity initiative for Shenzhen plant and drive cross-functional team for both commercial and technical savings.
    Responsible for preparing RFQ’s in aligned with preferred supply base strategy, utilizing E-Tools, awarding new business and negotiation all raw materials, components, and tooling to support Shenzhen plant transformation initiative
    Closely cooperate with key stakeholders to  ensure the following tasks could be completed: Supplier optimization strategies, material productivity targets,  delivery (STR/STC) targets, supplier quality DLPM level, all legal requirements and compliance, in- and outsourcing activities, suppliers quarterly business reviews, high impact projects, reduction of suppliers, establishing supplier agreements, and definition of grow, fix & exit suppliers.
    Ensure that all suppliers meet TE requirements for compliance (RoHs, Reach, conflict minerals, supplier portal usage) 
    Support plant team for Operations Certifications with special focus on Procurement requirements
    Support plant team for Operations Certifications and Audits – with special focus on Procurement requirements.
    Ensure accuracy and maintain the Info Record and Source List data in alignment with MRP parameters, incl. MOQ, Price, and LT. 


Requirements 
Bachelor degree or equivalent, engineering background preferred
Relevant sourcing experience
Sourcing experience with relay and cable assembly products related material (molding , stamping, cable, precious metal, base metals, tools/spare parts, package, chemicals, resin, plating) is a plus
