Job Overview

TE Connectivity Sensors Business Unit is looking for a Senior Project Manager Engineer to join the high-performing Medical Program Management Office team. Position will be located in Shenzhen plant, with the offered option to combine office hours with home office hours during week. Project management team is distributed globally.

The project manager owns the medical device project execution and communication with different functions, being responsible for managing Sensors New Product Development project tasks and priorities.

As a project manager you will be responsible to lead project-related communications with customers, being supported by project team members, as needed. This role must closely collaborate with colleagues in Business Development, Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Quality, Product Management. Working languages: Mandarine and English.

Job Requirements

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage medical sensors projects in accordance with customer specifications, Sensors BU targets, BDM plan, product line plans and engineering resources.
  • Execute TE processes for project management, prepare for gate reviews and presentations with senior leadership, and other relevant project-related steps and processes.
  • Project P&L responsibility: deliver on revenue and gross margin targets by driving project execution in time and agreed costs.
  • Project communication between customer and TE. Ensure that TE management is kept informed regarding customer satisfaction and potential risks in a timely manner.
  • Lead project risk management reviews.
  • Driving cross-functional communication.
  • Availability to travel for some customer visits regarding project execution progress, assist Business Development/ Sales meetings on all project topics.

What your background should look like

  • Master / Bachelor in Biomedical or Biochemical Engineering (from 211 or 985 Universities) is preferred;
  • Large scale project management experience;
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in medical project management;
  • Ability to work independently and remotely as part of a virtual team;
  • Experience with cost estimation, budget tracking and project’s Profit & Loss (P&L) maintenance.
  • PMP or equivalent certification;
  • Experience leading multi-cultural cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working with quality standards and regulatory for medical devices.
