Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Manufacturing and Process Development Engineering Teams significantly impact LEANPD driven new product development projects, driving for excellence in existing manufacturing technologies and methods and striving to implement new manufacturing technologies to provide improved process and tolerance control. They act as the binding element between product development and manufacturing engineering, ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of this critical interface. They support Product Development in the optimization of designs and piece parts for manufacturability by realizing sample tooling/products/prototypes. They also design, develop, and qualify tooling and processes to meet TE quality and production standards, document all processes and tooling in applicable TE systems, support supply chain to verify supplier compliance and capability, initiate and implement programs to continuously improve quality, cost and cycle time and adhere to all appropriate specifications, regulatory requirements and customer requirements.

What your background should look like:

New Project 
- Clarify technical requirements from manufacturing perspective with customer engineering and internal product engineer;                                                                                                         - Design review with mold vendor and fixed mold design; 
- Support engineering sample making for DV/PV test;  
- Prepare mold related documents, mold spec, molding standard parameters ,PFMEA, WI, Maintenance WI, drawings etc.
- Lead trial run and Run&Rate to validate the reliability of the mold;  
- Mold and related machines, equipment, jigs release to operation     
- CTM from manufacturing side to coordinate works and communications among packing, operation, IE, process,etc.
Technical Focus                                                                                                                                                       
- Focus on defined mold technical as mold owner, to develop and improve key molding technology.
- New technology of mold explore

Mass Production Support
- Support quality and operation team to continuous improve the mold for the mass produced parts; 
- Support quality to analysis any quality complaints from the market;
- Evaluate and lead process related engineering change.
Productivity                                                                                                                                                                    
- Lead mold improvement of labor or C/T reduce, OEE increasement, machine down time reduce for CC productivity;                                                                                                                 - Work with quality and operation to reduce COPQ cost of responsible products.

Education, Technical Qualification & Experience
1.College degree or above, major in mechanics, material etc.
2.Good knowledge of the automotive industry quality standards (TS16949) is preferred;
3.At least 3 years mold design experience, and at least 5 years mold development follow up experiance;
4. Experience of Relay product is preferred;
4.Familiar with MS Office/ 3D engineering software(Pro/E,CAD);
5.Good English listening ,writing and speaking skills.
