Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Quality Assurance Teams are responsible for all or part of an organization's Quality Management System, including conformance and continuous improvement initiatives. They work on systemic evaluation of products, services, facilities, manufacturing or business processes, to ensure that standards of quality are being met. Develop and implement quality plans, programs and procedures using quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses. They reviews, analyze and report on quality discrepancies, investigate problems and executes quality audits, and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies. The team works closely with manufacturing, engineering, customers, or suppliers and subcontractors to ensure requirements are met.

What your background should look like:

Key Responsibilities:
-Conduct audits with existing and new suppliers to evaluate supplier performance.
-Work with suppliers to resolve issues identified in audits and reviews. 
-Train and up skill suppliers on quality standards, quality and LEAN tools, TE requirements, best practices, audit skills for tier 2 suppliers. 
-Work with suppliers on KPIs, supplier performance, QBRs, audit results, corrective action plans, TE standards and requirements.
-Work with suppliers for 8D corrective actions to ensure that appropriate root cause, solution and verification takes place in timely and comprehensive manner as needed
-Occasionally; work with customers as needed to resolve their reported concerns.
-Collaborate and partner with suppliers to ensure the supplier:
-Adheres to quality standards
-Is held accountable for meeting TE requirements, KPIs, 
-Has strategic improvement plans in place
-Communicate with suppliers and internal groups. Modify communications and style to deal appropriately with various hierarchical levels and to suit the sensitivity of the topic.
Key Qualifications, Experiences & Knowledge:
-5 -7 years of experience and knowledge in the Quality profession. 
-Accredited to conduct supplier audits in ISO 9015 and ITAF standards
-Demonstrated experience of conducting supplier audits.
-Experience in 8D (eight disciplines) problem solving approach strongly desired.
-Experience in the electronics industry (manufacturing) is strongly recommended.
-University degree in Engineering is required (Electrical / Mechanical engineering, Process engineering, Manufacturing engineering preferred)
