Senior Strategic Market Analyst
Job Overview
Reporting to the Head of Market Insights & Intelligence, the Senior Strategic Market Analyst drives market intelligence and insights generation for strategic decisions in product management, business development, sales, and marketing functions across TE Connectivity’s Transportation markets. Tasks include creating actionable insights from secondary and primary market analysis, data analytics, and customer feedback for strategic and tactical business problems across all commercial functions for automotive, commercial vehicles, sensors, and application tooling markets. In addition, tasks include supporting local and global stakeholders in monitoring and analyzing China market trends and key players in relevant industries.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare and guide business decisions “where to play” and “how to win” choices for commercial functions.
• Conduct secondary market research and data analysis. Report findings and recommendations to management and other stakeholders, including market sizing, competition profiles, technology analysis, product applications, technology trends, etc.
• Conduct and support primary market research projects to understand customer needs, preferences, and pain points in collaboration with TE internal stakeholders, research agencies, incl. project briefing, in depth customers or expert interviews, surveys, etc.
• Become go-to person for China customer and market insights based on ongoing market, competition, and trend watch as well as TE internal insights in China automotive and commercial vehicle markets. Report and communicate insights to commercial functions.
• Manage larger scale outsourced research projects, incl. agency selection, stakeholder management, project management, and ensure quality in readouts.
• Effectively communicate and ‘translate’ quantitative or qualitative analysis into actionable insights and recommendations.
Your Background
Success in the role requires business acumen and a strategic mindset, good communication and presentation skills, the ability to work seamlessly with stakeholders at multiple levels in the organization, an ability to managing informal teams and leading successful projects.
Previous Professional experience:
• 5-6 years or more of market research experience post graduate degree or
• 3-4 years or more of experience working in corporate strategy or management consulting
• Experience in strategic market analysis, business case development, business analytics
• Experience interfacing with senior leadership, commercial, and engineering functions through effective communication of objectives, plans, progress, insights, and strategic recommendations
• Experience in problem solving, analytics, and project management.
• Experience conducting in-depth interviews with internal or external experts is a plus.
• Experience in strategic planning and business case development is a plus.
• Transportation/mobility environment knowledge is a plus.
Education:
University degree or college diploma in Economics, Finance, Business, or Engineering.
