SUPPLY CHAIN ANALYST IV

Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Supply Chain Managers are responsible for the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials. They ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at the established levels. They coordinate and integrate the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and customers, identifying opportunities for improving efficiency, effectiveness and capabilities of the supply chain. Resources are focused on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through production processes, and the establishment of key performance metrics and benchmarks to monitor actual performance against goals.

What your background should look like:


Overview / Purpose of the Job    The Supply Chain Analyst role is a newly created role to support South China Platform to represent BU and manage day-to-day operational escalations to drive continuous improvement, ultimately to achieve operational excellence, improve logistics performance, increase efficiency and reduce logistics cost
Responsibilities: 

South China Platform management: 
•    Continue DC migration program to newly established South China Platform until closure

•    Manage day-to-day operational escalations, exception management including warehouse function and buyer consolidation in South China Platform

•    Work with TE appointed Forwarder, TE Global Logistics team, BU internal related functions to identify and drive continues improvement programs including but not limited to improve operational performance, increase process efficiency, reduce logistics cost

•    Work with internal Global Logistics organization and related forwarders to manage Month-end / Quarter-end / Year-end push to support Sale Revenue recognition 


Lead a back office team:
•    Manage documentation of X-company / Drop ship flows to make sure required document generated timely with high accuracy level

•    Support VMI related programs including implementation, reporting, freight bill audit, coordination, exception management etc. 

•    Work with TE appointed Forwarder to manage day-to-day warehouse operations in South CN platform (within four walls) and buyer consolidation implementation, daily coordination and performance management

Others:
•    Support other Logistics Transformation Initiatives when necessary


 

3    Requirements for a typical Job Holder / Applicant (not the actual incumbent at TE Connectivity)
Educational Degree    Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Operation Management, Statistics or related field
Professional Experience (years in what processes and function)    
8+ years working experience in Logistics function with experience of people management
Special Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills    Advanced knowledge for Warehousing management and all transportation modes (Air, Express, Ocean, Rail, Cross Boarder Trucking, Domestic Trucking), and ERP system knowledge is mandatory (SAP)
Other important things to note    Strong experience in both Bonded and Non-bonded warehouse operations in China
