Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Strategic Sourcing Teams develop and implement multi-year strategies for assigned commodities, suppliers and parts/services to achieve established goals in supplier quality, delivery, price and service. They align strategy and execution with cross-functional partners such as engineering, manufacturing, product management and functional owners. They execute the competitive bid, negotiation, contracting processes and/or technical continuous improvement for assigned commodities or services; collaborate across Business Units and cross-regions for optimal TE leverage. Our teams demonstrate a high level of expertise in procurement competencies (business/supply chain acumen, negotiation, sourcing strategy development and execution, global savvy, and project and product lifecycle management) and ensure results are delivered compliant with TE policies and procedure

 

Responsibility:

  • Develop and execute a strategic plan for the assigned category that aligns with the company's overall vision and goals
  • Lead the long-term strategy for the assigned category and oversee its implementation, including identifying new opportunities for growth and expansion
  • Segment suppliers based on regional needs and collaborate with the cross-functional team to develop and implement supplier development plans
  • Optimize the manufacturing footprint for the assigned category to ensure the highest levels of efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction
  • Implement business unit productivity initiatives across the assigned category to drive cost savings and improve overall performance
  • Develop supplier relationships in key growth areas and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure supplier alignment with the company's strategic objectives
  • Drive process improvement and quality optimization initiatives across the assigned category to ensure the highest levels of product quality and customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sourcing strategies that deliver the best value for the company and our customers

What your background should look like:

Requirement:

  1. Full time bachelor’s degree, engineering preferred
  2. Minimum 7-year working experience in procurement or engineering area
  3. Good interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work in matrix environment
  4. Customer focus and continuous improvement attitude
  5. Advanced knowledge in use of SAP
  6. Fluent in English and Mandarin both in written and spoken
