Major Target:

The Strategic Sourcing Analyst is responsible for defining and implementing sourcing strategies for assigned commodity within global Private/Brand Label (PBL) procurement team and suppliers to reach the respective sourcing targets in delivery, productivity, cost, and quality. Moreover, this position is responsible for supplier negotiations, supplier capacity management, and supplier compliance with relevant TE requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Create sourcing strategy, under strong consideration of customer needs, of each commodity or product line.
  • Drive the attainment of major procurement KPI’s: Material Productivity (CMP), Lead time performance, Delivery (STR), and Quality (DLPM).
  • Responsible for preparing RFQ’s, awarding new business and negotiating of components and tooling. Support New Product Introduction (NPI) process of procurement per RASI defined.
  • Responsible for contracting of supplier commercial agreements, includes NDA, PBL contract, inventory management, VMI, Scheduling Agreement and etc. Collect and maintain capabilities and capacities of suppliers to avoid constraints.
  • Accountable for info record and PO accuracy and communicate relevant data to tactical buyer, incl. lead time, price and MOQ;
  • Manage Supplier Footprint, incl. setup of new suppliers, reducing number of supplier and resourcing activities
  • Responsible for resolving supplier’s commercial or tactical issues as required.
  • Ensure Minimal Order Quantity (MOQ) and Lead Time (LT) optimization for purchased products.
  • Ensure that all suppliers meet TE requirements for compliance (RoHs, Reach, conflict minerals, supplier portal usage). Conduct risk assessments of supplier and mitigate actions.
  • Responsible for conducting QBR’s with strategic suppliers and the drive of respective corrective actions
  • Identify the VAVE opportunity with supplier for major commodity and product to realize VAVE saving; Develop and track the PBL supplier VAVE project for internally and suppliers together with PM/PE/MDE team to realize VAVE saving for PBL AP team region.

 

 

 

Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years’ experience in Procurement or Supply Chain management leadership role. Commodity management experience a plus.
  • Education: Bachelor level degree in Business, Supply Chain, Sourcing/ Procurement, Finance or related field.  Advanced degree a plus.
  • Self-motivated individual with a positive attitude, able to work well with international teams and individuals, not afraid to push for change.
  • Strong analytical skills. Ability to analyze complex financial documentation and RFP submissions and make detailed reports and recommendations to management. 
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills.
  • Ability for periodic travel required. (10-25%)
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • SAP experience is a plus

Generally requires Bachelors degree in appropriate field with a minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible professional level experience; Masters degree or higher or local equivalent may be preferred at this level
