STRATEGIC SOURCING ANALYST(Tooling Expert)

Job Overview

This position is part of the Industrial Business Unit Procurement organization. The selected candidate will be the Strategic Procurement lead for the AP region with a team of direct reports leading key strategic commodity initiatives for a total AP Spend of $75M+. The candidate will work cross-functionally to drive multi-year strategies and accelerate business improvement opportunities within the supply base including strategic and tactical initiatives. 
The candidate will work across the Integrated Supply Chain team to address gaps and provide solutions for critical commodity, NPI or tooling needs to support the business. Critical to this role will be exceeding established goals in productivity, quality and delivery. This candidate will need to work across business unit subverticals & with TE center led organizations to leverage existing capabilities and improve upon existing processes.

What your background should look like:

Responsibilities: 
•    Drive savings opportunities (identify, quantify, capture) throughout supply base to achieve critical annual KPIs (delivery, quality, productivity)
•    Drive improvement in leading indicators (TEBIT pipeline, parts on contract/VMI, LCC etc.)
•    Lead a team of approx. 4 commodity managers from China and Japan
•    Analysis of performance gaps and identify cost savings opportunities with the team. Preparation, coaching and leadership of negotiations
•    Generate and negotiate technical saving projects in cooperation with the technical department (VAVE)
•    Negotiate region-wide contracts and manage compliance in the region, ensure adherence of team to all TE policies
•    Develop and implement supply base strategy, including identification and ramp-up of competitive new suppliers
•    Actively manage sourcing pipeline (new projects before SOP, transfers) with the team and key internal stakeholders
•    Support and drive initiatives to improve supplier quality
•    Support and drive initiatives to improve delivery performance of suppliers
•    Support the TEOA-P initiatives and star level attainment for the region and business unit
Qualification:
•    Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or Supply Chain. Masters is preferred 
•    At least 5-10 years of relevant Supply Chain/Procurement experience
•    Demonstrate track record of achieved results. 
•    Business acumen, strong communication and negotiation skills, leadership, creative, presentation skills, influencing skills, results driven, action oriented, comfortable with ambiguity
•    Strong people & organizational leadership skills
•    Strong understanding of operational issues (inventory, Leadtime, Lean, VMI) 
•    High analytical skills and proficiency knowledge of usual data analytics tools (xls, Tableau)
•    Travel up to 25% of time 
•    Fluent in English, German 
•    SAP experience in module MM
