Job Overview
Overview: The PJM is a “Mini General Manager” of New Product Development projects. The candidate should possess strong leadership and project management skills. The candidate should also have a strong engineering background along with good working knowledge of connector manufacturing technologies (molding/stamping/plating/assembly).
Job Requirements
• Take total ownership of one or more New Product Development projects
• Unite the Core Team toward a common objective
• Manage resources:
o Ensure the project is “staffed for success”
o Negotiate with functional managers and Project Approval Committee (PAC) to alleviate resource constraints as needed
• "Discipline the System"
o Ensure that the team are operating according to the development process
o Keep people focused on the matters at hand as well as their area of responsibility
o Report out project status to PAC following contract date
• Be proactive to take actions and get thing done
• Resolve conflict and controversial issues
What your background should look like
- 8-10years working experience in project management area or equivalent
- Leadership proven skills in leading, developing, and managing teams
- Demonstrated ability to create effective project plans
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to cable assembly products preferable
- Ability to anticipate problems and resolve them before they become significant issues
- Knowledge of a matrix organization and how to navigate it
- Project management expertise to drive time to market balanced with commitment to quality
- Ability to manage uncertainty
- A conceptual thinker with strong attention to detail
- Understand design for manufacturability (DFM)
- Good oral English. A
