SR S/W SYSTEMS ENGINEER

Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Software Systems Engineering Teams provide functional and empirical analysis related to the design, development, and implementation of software operating/automation systems, including, but not limited to, utility, development, and diagnostic software. They perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost, risk, supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.

What your background should look like:

Responsibilities:
• Responsible for all phases of the development process, from concept, design, through production release for new products.
• Interact with customers, vendors, manufacturing, marketing and sales personnel, and other engineering functions as required to support product development.
• Determine specifications, perform engineering analysis, create preliminary concepts and prototypes
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Assist in development of project plans, including: Task definition and Resource estimates

 

Addition Responsibilities:
Interfaces with internal and external disciplines:
• Reporting and regular communication to the team lead, direct manager, and Project Manager
• Provide cross disciplinary product related advice about technical and aspects
• Have regular discussions on progress, work implementation and problems, priorities, analysis, with other involved parties
• Adopt and adapt to relevant engineering standards and agency practices
Submission of preliminary invention disclosures detailing technical aspects of novel concepts

 

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in the field of software development. 
• Good command of English in written and oral.
• Good at languages C++ (JavaScript &HTML is nice to have)
• HMI/UI architecture.
• Machine to machine communication and interfacing to external systems 
• Microcontrollers and microprocessors and associated firmware development
• Propensity for learning new skills and improving personal development.
• Debugging hardware and interacting with other engineering disciplines.
• Working in a team with superior time management skills.
• Knowledge of the automotive industry is beneficial.
• Software packaging/distribution is preferred.
• Familiar with twincat3 preferred.
• Understand of MES is preferred.
