At TE, you will unleash your potential working with people from diverse backgrounds and industries to create a safer, sustainable and more connected world.

Job Overview

Designs a complete and complex Simulation framework, system, or product. Define simulationprocesses for technical platforms, system specifications, input/output and working parameters for hardware and/or software compatibility. Conceives system interfaces and business application prototypes. Identifies, analyzes and resolves system design weaknesses. Influences the shaping of future products by contributing to the framework (architecture) used across multiple products or systems.

What your background should look like:

Key Responsibilities
•    Validate concept designs using simulation techniques to determine design robustness and meet critical functional requirements.
•    Deploy FEA techniques, including implicit and explicit methods, using software tools such as Ansys Workbench, LS-DYNA, Icepak, and Digimat...
•    Translate real-world problems into FEA models, interpret analysis results, and provide optimization recommendations.
•    Monitor and evaluate the performance of simulation software and industry trends.
•    Train engineers in the use of simulation tools.
•    Support and promote simulation activities across global engineering teams.
•    Promote collaboration among laboratory, simulation, and design teams to achieve the organization's virtual validation vision.
•    Develop and mentor CAE advanced users to become a multi-skilled resource pool.
•    Implement productivity improvement methods.
•    Track and monitor key metrics to maintain sustained performance in quality and delivery.
•    Collaborate with design and validation teams to optimize designs.
•    Effectively collaborate with laboratories to establish a closed-loop management system for simulation accuracy.

Qualifications
•    Masters (or higher) degree in Mechanical Engineering/design or materials Engineering, lower-level technical degree(s) with longer work experience is also acceptable.
•    8+(Bachelor)/3+(Master) years of CAE experience, with experience in connectors or related products (plastic and sheet metal parts) preferred. Experience in thermal simulation preferred.
•    Proficiency in FEA software such as Ansys Workbench, and familiarity with CAD tools such as PTC Creo and SpaceClaim.
•    Familiarity with Python or Microsoft VB-script, Power IB programming languages.
•    Knowledge of material science (metals, resins, and hyper-elastic materials) and its application in simulation.
•    Understanding of related manufacturing processes (molding, stamping, plating, crimping, and assembly).
•    Experience in correlation analysis of test and simulation data/results.
•    Knowledge of technical paper publications.
•    Proficiency in using MS Office tools.
•    Fluent in spoken and written English.
