Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Engineering Project Management Teams manage cross functional engineering projects. They work with Product Management, Sales, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance, and other functions across TE to assure projects meet financial, schedule and customer expectations. They are responsible for defining and creating project schedules, portfolio management, communication and execution of programs, identifying resource constraints and working with management for resolution, while adhering to LeanPD processes.

What your background should look like:

This Senior Sustaining Project Manager roles will be based in Weifang and reporting to Plant Manager/local sustaining project management leader.
The Project Manager is responsible for meeting project scope, schedule, and budget milestones.  The individual will develop and manage project plans and will be responsible to ensure all assigned project deadlines and results are met.
The sustaining projects scope includes but not limit to:

  • Existing Products Redesign

1. Existing Process Improvement which benefits manufacturing
2. Transfer of manufacturing within Internal/External TE/ICT locations
3. Tooling/Assembly replacement or expansion
4. Any process enhancement which benefits Supply Chain Optimization

  • He/she will be responsible for all sustaining projects in Weifang Plant. This role must closely collaborate with Engineering, Production, Quality, PM and ICT sustaining PJM peers to achieve the success.
  • Apart from Project managements, he/she will also need to work with ICT Weifang Operation functions closely to monitor production status; regular review production line capacity and eventually locate potential sustaining enhancement possibilities and opportunities for ICT Weifang Plant through teamwork.



•Bachelor or higher degree in Engineering or related major.
•At least 8 or more years proven experience on project management in automotive/commercial vehicle or electronic manufacturing industry.
•IE (Industrial Engineer) experience is a plus
•PMP certification is a plus
•Proven successful experiences to handle multiple projects simultaneously
•Intermediate knowledge of cable assembly products and manufacturing processes
•Basic knowledge on Supply Chain
•Excellent command in both verbal and written English.
•Excellent communication skill with other functions
•Able to work under pressure.
