Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Strategic Sourcing Teams develop and implement multi-year strategies for assigned commodities, suppliers and parts/services to achieve established goals in supplier quality, delivery, price and service. They align strategy and execution with cross-functional partners such as engineering, manufacturing, product management and functional owners. They execute the competitive bid, negotiation, contracting processes and/or technical continuous improvement for assigned commodities or services; collaborate across Business Units and cross-regions for optimal TE leverage. Our teams demonstrate a high level of expertise in procurement competencies (business/supply chain acumen, negotiation, sourcing strategy development and execution, global savvy, and project and product lifecycle management) and ensure results are delivered compliant with TE policies and procedures.
What your background should look like:


-    Regional responsible for all relevant KPIs in the region about productivity, delivery and quality, ensuring fulfillment of leading indicators as well
-    Global Leadership and management of the product LCP, PCT and PBT over all BUs and regions
-    Establish 3 years resins regional strategic commodity plan and supplier footprint development in alignment with the global commodity managers.  
-    Consolidate and develop platforming in AP for all BUs.
-    Drive New product development strategies and optimize the involvement of resins team into the new product development
-    Participate in Regional and Global Sourcing Committee - where global/regional strategies, objectives & performance goals are implemented  
-    Build relationship & work with local plants to identify savings opportunity, development of cost effective suppliers, follow through implementation
-    Work with Americas and EMEA, support global leverage of LCC spend, utilize LCC suppliers capability 
-    Drive local plants to standardize and adopt common process (Align regional & local initiatives) - like VMI, forecast, various KPI, new PN creation process, GMSS and best practices, etc  
-    Support engineering design and provide guidance: materials selection, strategic suppliers availability, leveraging supplier base & capabilities  
-    Promote LCC spend and LC localization in Asia.  


-    For external: direct experience working at large chemical company (5 years minimum) in a commercial role, preferably procurement
-    For internal: Bachelor degree, 5 year minimum resins/molding experience
-    Completed, accredited 4-year university degree with an Engineering degree preferred. MBA or Masters in Engineering is a plus.
-    Strong leadership and experience in leading a team
-    Good communication with upper management and cross-function teams
-    Assertiveness and responsibility for making decision in result driven and customer oriented
-    Resins based background with experience in engineered materials (e.g. PBT, Nylon, LCP) is preferred. Experience in connector design and injection molding is also desirable.
-    An employee who not only understands the technical aspect of TE’s business, but also the commercial side
-    Must work well in international teams with members from a wide array of functional backgrounds
-    Computer knowledge: MS-Office, SAP MM module is desirable
-    Time zone flexibility and an ability to travel (e.g. 10% globally and regionally) 
-    English language skills in speech and writing
-    Proficiency Chinese needed, Japan language skill is a plus
-    Motivated employee who is not afraid to challenge company "norms" and push for change
-    Ability to speak persuasively in front of a large audience, members of which may be executive level colleagues
