Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Manufacturing and Process Development Engineering Teams significantly impact LEANPD driven new product development projects, driving for excellence in existing manufacturing technologies and methods and striving to implement new manufacturing technologies to provide improved process and tolerance control. They act as the binding element between product development and manufacturing engineering, ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of this critical interface. They support Product Development in the optimization of designs and piece parts for manufacturability by realizing sample tooling/products/prototypes. They also design, develop, and qualify tooling and processes to meet TE quality and production standards, document all processes and tooling in applicable TE systems, support supply chain to verify supplier compliance and capability, initiate and implement programs to continuously improve quality, cost and cycle time and adhere to all appropriate specifications, regulatory requirements and customer requirements.

What your background should look like:

The Regional Stamping Technology Manager will execute the implementation of stamping processes across a designated region. This role will be instrumental in driving the adoption of best practices, improving operational efficiency, and fostering innovation in stamping technology. 

This role is a remote role and can be filled in whole AP region.

Key Responsibilities
1.    Implement and oversee the stamping core process technology strategy within the assigned region, aligning with the global vision set by the BUs and the Director Stamping Core Process Technology.
2.    Collaborate with local sites to identify and implement cost and waste savings opportunities, focusing on high-impact, ready-to-deploys (RTDs) and best practices.
3.    Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to stamping processes, driving continuous improvement and closing gaps to achieve "opportunity to TE best" standards in cooperation with the Core Process Systems counterpart.
4.    Work closely with regional Innovation and Technology teams to integrate new and emerging stamping automation technologies, enhancing competency within local plants.
5.    Assist in developing and maintaining core process technology standards for the region, engaging directly with sites, Business Units and Center of Excellence members.
6.    Support the development and execution of the regional stamping automation roadmap, focusing on growth, capital efficiency, flexibility, and floorspace utilization.
7.    Evaluate and recommend technologies for internal or external sourcing based on technical expertise and value creation potential.
8.    Coordinate cross-business unit activities within the region, managing by influence in a matrix environment.
9.    Travel within the region as necessary to support Business Unit needs and implement stamping technology initiatives.
10.    Drive safety standards in stamping processes across the region, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry best practices.
Qualifications
•    Bachelor’s degree in engineering; master’s degree or Professional Engineer Certification preferred.
•    7+ years of experience in stamping technology or related manufacturing processes.
•    Ability to influence diverse Business Unit requirements and work across organizational boundaries to deliver innovation solutions with broad applications.
•    Strong knowledge of stamping automation and practical experience in its application.
•    Proficient in engineering economics, statistics, and industrial engineering principles as applied to manufacturing.
•    Excellent project management skills with a detail-oriented and goal-focused approach.
•    Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
•    Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate across organizational boundaries.
•    Proficient English language skills required; additional regional language skills may be beneficial.
