Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Quality Assurance Teams are responsible for all or part of an organization's Quality Management System, including conformance and continuous improvement initiatives. They work on systemic evaluation of products, services, facilities, manufacturing or business processes, to ensure that standards of quality are being met. Develop and implement quality plans, programs and procedures using quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses. They reviews, analyze and report on quality discrepancies, investigate problems and executes quality audits, and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies. The team works closely with manufacturing, engineering, customers, or suppliers and subcontractors to ensure requirements are met.

What your background should look like:

•Establish Quality strategy, under strong consideration of customer needs, of each product line. 
•Implement a plan for new supplier quality audit assessments. Coordinate a supplier quality audit program with PBL team. Monitor and ensure effectiveness of supplier quality audit process. 
•Monitor the sample making process and quality control for NPI in supplier side. 
•Product safe launch: SQE will monitor the FACA, continue improvement, based on the data from sample making stage, request supplier to solve design/process problem in sample stage.
•Approve control plan, Inspection plan from supplier and Process qualification before MP. 
•Customer complaint handling work directly with customer for complaint and feedback to supplier, verify the root cause and follow up actions.
•Major Product yield rate monitoring and drive supplier to improve first pass rate.
•Lead annual supplier audit and routing process audit, Drive Conditional approve and failed supplier to improve audit score.
•Push internal team to phase out high quality risk supplier.
•Monitor supplier quality performance, summarize score card for supplier performance, ask improvement for risk supplier. 
•4M verification, follow up approval process in customer side and implement process in supplier. 

•5years’(or above) working experience in cable or AOC design, working experience in supplier quality or in related quality function areas is a plus.
•Deep knowledge in optical module, system, and its application such as DAC, AOC, TOSA, ROSA, PON, etc., and good knowledge in its components like Lasers, Drivers, TIA, MCU, and CDR/DSP, etc. Proficient in MSA agreements and IEEE(802.3) standards, know well InfiniBand, FC and CMIS agreements is a plus.
•Has advanced knowledge of optical module’s EMC, ESD, and safe certifications is a plus.
•Education: MS degree (or above) in Optical and Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
•Has advanced knowledge of the supplier management, certified ISO9001 internal auditor is preferred. 
•Ability to use quality analysis tools (Minitab etc.)  is a plus.
•Fluency in oral & writing English
•Self-motivated individual with a positive attitude, able to work well with international teams and individuals, not afraid to push for change.
•Ability for periodic travel required. (25% above).
•Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
