Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Total Rewards teams develop, implement and evaluate Total Rewards programs, tools and initiatives (e.g., wage and salary administration, short- and long-term incentives, job evaluation, global mobility, executive compensation and health, life and retirement benefits) in the context of TE's internal and external environment to attract, retain and motivate employees. They administer and communicate the company’s benefits program plan options, features and enrollment requirements and assist employees with benefit claim administration inquiries.  They implement and execute mobility programs and services supporting employee short- and long-term transfers, assignments, country entry and domestic or international relocation.  In addition, the Total Rewards team analyzes Total Reward cost containment strategies and make recommendations for improvement/enhancement as appropriate. They also ensure company compliance with federal and state laws governing both compensation and benefits practices and stay current with laws, regulations and procedures governing international mobility and immigration.


Position Overview

Reporting to the Total Rewards Global Team, this position provides compensation and benefits consulting aligned to the global total rewards strategy and tailored to the local needs of our customers in Greater China and Thailand.  Additionally, this role will partner closely with its direct report and the Global Total Rewards Team to ensure effective support on compensation and benefits strategy and execution is provided to businesses and HR in area of responsibility.

Job Responsibilities
• Build strong relationships with management and HR in the region and Total Rewards Business Partners to understand business challenges and partner to identify appropriate total rewards solutions 
• Consult on compensation and benefits issues in Greater China and Thailand to ensure they are market competitive and align to budgetary guidelines with key stakeholders
• Partner with Total Rewards Business Partner on acquisition due diligence and integration 
• Advise, train and provide data, analysis and tools on total rewards philosophy and programs to HR and management in area of responsibility
• Develop effective relationships with external vendors/consultants and recommend cost-effective delivery of compensation and benefits solutions
• Consult on the design of local compensation and benefits programs or policies in coordination with the Global Total Rewards Team and Country HR, and escalate legal, compliance, and tax risk associated with benefits design and administration
• Partner to ensure statutory compliance in coordination with local country HR and respective Total Rewards key stakeholders 
• Evaluate job content and formulate recommendations for band, level, title and/or pay, internal equity and market competitiveness for complex scenarios
• Partner with the Global Compensation team to identify appropriate compensation surveys. Validate approach to global and local market matching in global database; Partner with countries in area of responsibility to validate appropriate local surveys for direct labor
• Collaborate with the Global Compensation team on researching, evaluating and understanding the impact of market and economic trends and recommend adjustments to salary ranges, hiring rates, geographic differentials, salary increase budgets and individual rates
• Assist in design, implementation and roll out of corporate TR programs/projects
• Participate in external network of C&B professionals to share best practices 


Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, HR or Business Administration or related field
• 9+ years demonstrated compensation and benefits analysis and administration experience 
• Proven compensation and benefits experience in China required and experience in Hong Kong, Taiwan and/or Thailand preferred
• Expert communication and consulting/influencing skills; demonstrated ability to quickly build relationships and operate in a matrixed organization  
• Expert analytical skills; ability to analyze statistical data and develop recommendations for presentation to leadership
• Excellent in English both oral and written
• CCP or GRP(World at work – certification courses) accreditation preferred
