Job Overview

ROLE OBJECTIVE 
This position provides Project Management leadership & is responsible for end-to-end Product Development projects leading cross functional team with KPI’s as Launch on Time, Budget, Cost & Quality.

RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Overall responsibility of managing 1-2 complex projects with successful project planning & execution to meet project charters and internal as well as customer requirements.
•    Leadership: Manage & Develop team of 4-6 project managers. 
                        Excellent cross functional leadership ability that leads project managers to high
                        performance and Coaches and mentors other project managers. 
                        Create individual development plans for direct reports.
•    Team development: Develop knowledge sharing environment and provide ongoing feedback.
•    Envision the BU/ segment future & develop and implement PMO operational strategy. 
•    Drive diverse and inclusion workplace by identifying individual differences and their value; ability to recognize and respect the value of individual difference and diverse perspectives at all levels of the organization.
•    Stakeholder management – Identifies and manages stakeholder expectations. Setting up cadence with stakeholders for smooth execution of projects.
•    Cost Control: Manage the Project Capital, Expense and Resource Expenditures to stay within budget and ensure that the financial metrics are met.
•    Economic Analysis: Support alternatives evaluation, variance analysis, cost calculations, etc.
•    Communications: Develop the Project Communication Plan, lead periodic Management Level Project Reviews, Report Project Progress, and Manage Stakeholder Expectations
•    Developing project schedules, resource requirements and budget forecasts. Tracking and reporting on project progress and product cost
•    Change Management: Perform integrated Change Management Control 
•    Addressing and resolving issues/impediments in project. 
•    Leading continuous improvement of existing processes and implementation of new project components.
•    Monitoring of internal resources with appropriate function, resolving operational issues, and ensuring project implementation on time, on cost, on quality.
•    Effective project Risk management: create, monitor, and control risk management plans
•    Travel: 10% to 25%

Job Requirements

EDUCATION & CRITICAL EXPERIENCE 
•    18-20 years working experience with engineering background
•    15+ years of Project Management experience in industrial product / Hardware domain / manufacturing industry 
•    Distributed & multi-cultural team management experience

COMPETENCIES (TECHNICAL & BEHAVIOURAL) 
MUST HAVE 
•    In depth understanding of Toll Gate / Stage Gate process / end to end Product development. 
•    Experience in effective project management strategies and tactics
•    Experience in managing teams including performance management, rewards, and recognition.
•    Experience in staffing, performance management, mentoring and coaching.
•    Extensive experience in Stakeholder management, requirement management
•    Exposure to manufacturing processes (Molding, stamping, plating) 
•    Fluent in English with good verbal and written communications skills, ability to communicate Globally at all levels internally and externally.
•    Extensive experience in project planning & execution
•    Extensive experience in Leading teams to success, collaborate across boundaries, track results, and develop Communication and responsibility matrix
•    Good at adapting to quick speed of project execution for AI business 
•    Proficient in Microsoft Project
•    Proficient with MS office tools (XL, Word, PowerPoint)
•    Proficient in project ROI analysis (NPV, IRR, Payback period)
•    Work along with CFT for problem solving and brainstorming 
•    Certified PMP or equivalent project management certifications
PREFERABLE
•    Exposure to product qualification process in AI business 
•    Experience in High Speed Backplane cable and connector industry or products
•    Exposure to Agile Project Management
