Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Quality and Reliability Engineering Teams analyze the ability of product and production systems to comply with customer and contractual requirements through established reliability factors. They design, recommend revisions and install quality control systems, develop and document analytical methods for establishing reliability of products and their components and conduct analysis on relative reliability with regards to cost, structure, weight, maintainability, facility of production, and availability of materials and equipment. Out teams develop, implement and monitor company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health and safety regulations and recommend corrective actions if necessary. They are responsible for policies and practices to comply with applicable government regulations and industry requirements related to product environmental compliance, the implementation and management of technical and testing standards and specifications, quality control and reliability programs governing materials, product and processes, resulting in the optimization of material and labor, as well as failure analysis, root cause, corrective action and customer communication.

Report to: Regional Quality Manager, APAC


Management of advanced quality team and lead to conduct quality planning activities at project development stage with the objectives of ensuring TE's product quality meet customers' requirements within TE's quality systems, policies, procedures, and relevant local regulations. Identify project requirement and management on resources, resolve critical issues to ensure project launching and meet company expectations in terms of KPIs.

What your background should look like:


  1. Advanced quality team management, task assignment, resource identification and leverage
  2. Projects progress overall tracking, analyzing obstacles and ensure deliverables meeting targets
  3. Active participation in process analysis, APQP, New product/process validation, design reviews and Safe Launch
  4. Work with cross functional team (Advanced Engineering, Product Development, Manufacturing Development, Sustaining Engineering) to analyze program risks and develop risk mitigation plans
  5. Actively participate in product and process design reviews


  1. BS degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
  2. Minimum of 8 years of quality experience required and 5 years on management roles
  3. Experience as Quality Engineer in IATF16949 automotive environment preferred
  4. Hands on experience with all tools of IATF16949 especially APQP, PPAP, Root Cause Analysis, and 8-D problem solving techniques
