Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Materials Planning Teams are responsible for the plans, schedules, and monitoring of the movement of material through the production cycle. They determine quantity and order date for materials to meet production or engineering schedules, initiate purchase or production requisitions compliant with supply agreements, and develop the schedule to be used in the production facility based on forecasts and historical analysis. The Team develops specifications for new contract orders as well as forecasts and plans for labor requirements. They provide timely and accurate input on supplier performance and may be asked to participate in higher level supplier performance reviews with the strategic sourcing team. They also monitor cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value.

What your background should look like:

Responsible for material planning, scheduling, and inventory control by using SAP. Interface closely with factory and all other related departments to ensure activities are defined accurately and executed effectively.
Partner with CS to develop a suitable supply chain solution that meets customer requirements while maintaining minimum inventory and optimal freight cost.
Monitor inbound shipments and backlog on daily basis and make sure it meets the plan and highlight any discrepancies.
Review PI/PR and create Purchase Orders with awareness of customer request dates to support on-time delivery to customers.
Manage daily MRP exception reports for Finished Goods while optimizing on-hand inventory and meeting service requirements. Manage future late: attempt to correct orders which were reconfirmed to later date than original confirmation date.
Advises on availability date of finished products to Customer Service teams.  Confirms all unconfirmed customer orders in SAP.
Leads continuous improvement activity, individually and with teams to impact planning KPIs.
Reduce Past dues, Manage Pull-ins and drive improvement actions
Participation in weekly/monthly Meetings to review overdue backlog. 


1. 3-5 years of experience within the area of Material Planning is preferable
2. Problem-solving skills, analytical skills, and communication skills 
3. English both written and spoken
4. Basic knowledge in the use of SAP and Microsoft Office is preferable
