This position will take and process transactions via phone, email and social media from customers and respond to inquiries about TE’s products or services. They may promote and sell our company's products or services as well as investigate and resolve customer complaints.
This position will be responsible for collaborating with multiple other functions within the organization, particularly with Marketing, Account Managers and Field Engineers. This role will have the opportunity to take on an Account Manager or Field Engineer position in the future.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Role and Responsibility
The Inside Sales account manager is the inside salesperson responsible for:
- Account Management: Achieve revenue growth of the dedicated accounts. Penetration of assigned accounts or locations for greater future engagement. Account owner internally to solve delinquent A/R and stock cases; Proactive reach out cadence for demand creation and pipeline management.
- TE value proposition: Explore new demand from cold and dormant account. Offer solutions to customers that add value to them as they reach out for support. Technical expertise, superior service, ability to demonstrate your knowledge and influence buying decisions through our innovative product solutions.
- New customer development: Deep understanding of industrial focus application, develop and enhance small and medium customers by actively probing, providing options and solutions. Building an opportunity pipeline, nurturing customers through their buying journey and driving customer loyalty.
Other Duties:
- Disciplined internal reporting of projects and other business activities through Salesforce.com

- Revenue (POP/POS)
- Pipeline and conversion
- New customer/contact creation
Key Qualifications, Experiences & Knowledge:
- Must have minimum of an engineering degree or equivalent level of practical experience
- Minimum one to three years customer care, inside sales, outside sales and/or field engineer experience
- Excellent phone and consultative selling skills
- An academic qualification in an engineering competence or equivalent field technical experience is a distinct advantage
- Should have had previous experience in a customer facing capacity
- Optimally have a deep and broad knowledge of the TE technology and product portfolio and the markets they serve
- Should have had previous exposure to TE processes and structures

What your background should look like
Generally requires Bachelors degree in appropriate field or local equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible professional level experience
