INDUSTRY SALES MANAGER IV

Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Industry Sales Teams manage sales to a specific industry, targeting customers with specialized knowledge regarding demand and future outlook of that sector.

Roles:
The Industry Marketing Manager focus on Market Intelligence and Marketing Strategy to drive future growth opportunity and recognition as the global leader delivering customer benefits in everything we do in the Industrial market. He/she is the catalyst of TE’s growth in the new applications/industries. As the industry expert, he/she is expected to map the products of target industry, identify product gaps and evaluate the impact of new technology on the industry. In addition, he/she needs to understand the competition landscape, set up new customer base and drive the relevant functions to transform the strategic initiatives into business revenues. 

The industry Marketing Manager is a key driver of strategy execution. He/she is expected to track the penetration of new customers, coordinate the marketing activities, build the promotion tools and support sales’ solution sales. 

The Industry Marketing Manager is a key liaison between Sales, Product Managers, Engineering,  Marketing and Business Development. 

Key Tasks:
Market Intelligence: Identifying internal and external strategic issues that could affect growth and profitability
1)    Analyze the macro/micro economic factors and translate into the growth forecast of the sub-vertical market and sub-industries;
2)    Provide updates of the macro-economy and growth drivers, monitor the movement of key competitors in the focused sub-industries;
3)    Provide market information updates in the yearly strategy review process;
Marketing Strategy: Creation and implementation of business plans, strategy, and initiatives to meet customers and business needs. 
1)    Develop application strategy for the focused applications, including:
1)    Quantify the TAM/PAM/SAM
2)    Prioritize the key products and identify the product gaps and recommend the routes to fill the product gaps
3)    Align with the PM and engineering team the product roadmap
4)    Analyze the customers and develop new customer list
5)    Develop value proposition for the prioritized products of the focused applications by aligning with the respective PMs
6)    Based on the value proposition, develop marketing plan and identify resources and marketing tools for the implementation;
2)    Execute the action plans and provide supports for sub-vertical GM on the following:
1)    Track the progress of product roadmap by sub-industries
2)    Track key customer account plan
3)    Work with sales team and channels to develop new penetration plan and new customer development by sub-industries
4)    Ensure the 4P marketing plan activities are on track;
3)    Prepare the marketing tools, including solution sales presentation and catalogue for the focused sub-industries;
4)    Provide solution sales training to the sales team;
5)    Manage the marketing communication priorities and cost, ensure the marketing budget aligned with the marketing team;
 

What your background should look like:

•    Solid experience and abilities to integrate market insights, competition intelligence and other business issues into a cohesive vision for growth, and link this vision into a series of initiatives and priorities that are logical and compelling.
•    Related market experience in Power industry, including new energy, Energy Storage, etc. (新能源、储能、等)
•    A proven track record of creating and articulating strategy by strategically assessing market opportunities and analytically identifying key drivers as well as developing key initiatives to propel a business to the next level. 
•    Graduate or equivalent in scientific / Engineering and/or business discipline
•    5 + year relevant experience within the relevant sub-vertical market
•    Strong analytical skills and structured thinking skills
•    Experience of defining and developing policy, managing resources and meeting targets/objectives with proven results
•    Excellent communication skills, capable of interfacing with all levels of management
•    Broad experience of understanding and interpreting complex/important customer requirements
•    Strong leadership skills and good team player
•    Good written and oral English language skills are essential
