Overview: 
We are building a world class Global Trade Services (GTS) organization and the DDN Business Unit Analyst plays a critical role in supporting trade operations and compliance within the Business Unit (BU). 

This role reports to the DDN Business Unit Manager, and is a key member of the Global Trade Services team. As part of the GTS team, the DDN Analyst will join a group of professionals who are passionate about ensuring the future growth of the business by providing business solutions for compliance with global trade laws and regulations.  


Responsibilities:
Trade Compliance Activities in DDN BU GTS 
•    Trade Compliance Activities Implementation
-    Responsible for the implementation of trade operations in China (APAC region as plus) to ensure TE’s compliance with import/export laws and regulations, safeguarding the company from potential trade compliance risks and regulatory violations. Support regular audits of trade compliance activities driven by GTS internal and external.
•    BU Stakeholder Liaison
-    Serve as the primary point of contact for BU stakeholders on generic trade-related matters. Act as a bridge between BU stakeholder with BU GTS team to ensure smooth communication and alignment on trade-related matters, provide feedback in a timely manner.

Partner with Trade Compliance Professionals and Stakeholders across the Enterprise
•    Utilization of GTS Operations Service Center and Trade Tools
-    Ensure appropriate utilization of the GTS Operations Service Center and GTS trade tools for crucial trade functions, includes product classification (import and export), restricted party screening, duty savings compliance, and otherwise ensure proper country of origin determination, valuation, and admissibility
•    Relationship Development and Risk Control
-    Establish and nurture strong relationships with various internal functions, including corporate functions, to encourage awareness of global trade compliance issues, proactively identify trade risk and threats by analyzing transactional trade operations and control. Continuously monitor the effectiveness of these controls and propose improvement measures as necessary.

In addition, successful candidate will have the following qualifications, experience, and skills:
•    Bachelor's degree required (international business, supply chain, law, or related field)
•    5+ years’ experience in global trade compliance in China (experience in other APAC countries Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines as an additional requirement)
•    Preferred: 2+ years’ experience in supporting trade functions within an industrial, communications, transportation, or similar business
•    Functional knowledge of import and export regulations and familiarity with customs practices in China (experience in other APAC countries Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines as an additional requirement)
•    Proven ability to work with a variety of business groups, including supply chain, customer service, legal, procurement and finance
•    Ability to foster teamwork and internal and external relationships
•    Preferred: Customs Broker License, other Customs / Trade certification 
•    Travel may be necessary in fulfillment of responsibilities
