TE Connectivity’s Energy business is looking for a PM Finance / Project Controlling Financial Analyst to serve as a finance business partner to our global Product Management and R&D Engineering functions. In this role, you will help turn data into decisions by providing financial guidance, project controlling support, investment analysis, KPI reporting, and actionable insights that improve project visibility, margin performance, ROI discipline, and operational effectiveness.

What you will do
•    Provide upfront financial screening for Product Management and R&D Engineering projects to support investment prioritization, project approvals, and ROI discipline. Partner with Product Management, R&D Engineering, Regional Controlling, Strategy, Analytics, and Global Finance teams to provide financial guidance, business insights, and decision support.
•    Support PAC and CER processes by reviewing business cases, cost estimates, financial assumptions, project economics, and related finance action items.
•    Deliver timely and accurate KPI reporting for Product Management and R&D Engineering, while improving reporting processes and data visibility.
•    Support monthly and quarterly business reviews through financial analysis, Product Gross Margin reporting, project performance insights, and inputs for Segment and Global FP&A reporting.
•    Analyze product margin, cost drivers, engineering spend, footprint opportunities, and business questions to identify risks, opportunities, and improvement actions.
•    Support Product Management incentive processes, including quarterly and annual PMIP calculations, target achievement assessment, accrual support, and target-setting inputs.
What success looks like
•    Global Product Management and R&D Engineering stakeholders receive timely, accurate, and actionable financial guidance.
•    PAC and CER financial inputs, business case reviews, cost estimates, and action items are completed with quality and consistency.
•    KPI reporting, Product Gross Margin reporting, and business review materials are accurate, useful, and continuously improved.
•    Financial insights help improve project prioritization, investment discipline, margin visibility, and business decision-making.


What you bring
•    Relevant experience in finance, controlling, FP&A, project finance, project controlling, or finance business partnering in an international manufacturing or technology environment.
•    Experience supporting Product Management, Engineering, R&D, investment analysis, project approval, margin analysis, or business case review is preferred.
•    Strong financial analysis skills, including business case review, ROI analysis, cost analysis, margin analysis, scenario analysis, and assumption-driven financial modeling.
•    Strong systems and reporting capability, including advanced Excel and experience with SAP / ERP, Tableau, Hyperion, reporting tools, planning tools, or data warehouse applications.
•    Ability to translate financial data into clear guidance, recommendations, risks, opportunities, and decision support for global stakeholders.
•    Strong communication, presentation, prioritization, and follow-through skills in a global matrix environment.
•    Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field required; MBA, BWL, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent finance qualification preferred.
•    Fluent English communication skills, written and verbal.
