Job Overview

The Senior Finance manager of FP&A and Commercial will drive key financial planning and forecasting processes, including recommending strategic and operating financial goals for use both internally (strategic/operating plans) and externally (earnings guidance). This position will also serve as business partner for China Sales team, set the direction for and lead a team of highly skilled and motivated financial analysts in delivery of timely business decision support. The Sr Finance Manager will be expected to influence decision making by management through persuasive analysis and presentation.

Job Description

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide timely business decision support through conduct of financial analysis, reporting and modeling. Key customers include the General Manager, and key business functional leaders.
  • Lead the strategic financial planning process, business partnering with Corporate and BU Strategy, providing Strat Plan deliverables, analysis and modeling for the Automotive China Business.
  • Own and lead key financial processes: strategic plan, budget, forecast, month end flash while working alongside the wider stakeholders to deliver the company goals.
  • Strive to constantly improve and develop the FP&A function, as part of driving continuous improvement projects around FP&A processes and driving a TEOA-F culture and mind-set within the team.
  • Provide Free Cash Flow analysis and actionable recommendations in terms of FCF improvement Ensure that the company financial models are accurate and up to date, modelling business scenarios and driving effective business decisions and mitigation plans
  • Provide insights and recommendations driven by data analytics, advanced modelling techniques and triangulation of external and market data
  • Set the direction for and lead the team of highly skilled and motivated financial analysts. The team is responsible for producing timely and accurate business decision support, in addition of providing special project support as required.
  • Provide support for other ad/hoc requests

What your background should look like:

10+ years of experience in MNC. Approximately 5-10 years of business experience in FP&A and Commercial Finance


  • Advanced financial modeling skills – ability to create pro forma or forecasted Income Statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow Statements.
  • Understanding of macroeconomics factors, how foreign currency and commodities (copper, gold, silver, resins, etc.) impact financial performance (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement) and ability to incorporate this into financial modeling / scenario analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; Financial system / ERP knowledge a plus (SAP, Hyperion, BPC, TED 2.0)
