Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Finance Teams are responsible for economic research, analysis of profit-and-loss income statements and preparation of reports on findings to make recommendations to management. They generate forecasts and analyze trends in sales, finance and other areas of business. The Finance Teams also create financial models of "what if" scenarios to help future business planning decisions.

What your background should look like:

Job Overview
This position supports Product Managers and Product Management and Engineering Leaders. The main duties include (but not limit) working closely with Product Managers and Engineering Leaders on business decisions and providing key analysis around product line profitability, CAPEX, and operating expense spending. This position is based in Shanghai, China.  

Key responsibilities include:
Provide monthly product line P&L by working with Operations Finance team and FP&A team
Provide detailed analysis by product for monthly/quarterly reviews and as requested
Analyze unusual and low-margin product to identify root causes, suggest necessary adjustments, and improve business decisions on investment allocations
Support preparation of quotes and CAPEX requests for projects
Track and forecast CAPEX requests and spending to ensure compliance with spending limits
Provide ad hoc request support to business partners on product line financial issues and operating expenses of assigned cost centers
Support calculation of Product Manager bonus payouts and related accruals

Experience:
5+ years of experience in MNC. 5-10 years of business experience in Operational finance 
Knowledge:
Understanding of cost accounting, cost analysis and reporting matters. Understanding of financial drivers and relations within a manufacturing environment
Good understanding of US GAAP. ERP system knowledge, SAP experience is preferred
Education:
Bachelors in Degree in Accountancy
