Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Logistics Demand Management Teams develop, integrate and provide short-term accounts or brand specific forecasts for internal operations which include replenishment data, customer data, sales promotion information, marketing plans and new distribution/product deletions. They are responsible for facilitating, managing and executing strategic directions related to plant performance, customer demand agreements, supply chain improvements, revenue forecasting and overall improvement in delivery metrics globally. They assist in the improvement of demand system forecasting accuracy for customers. The Demand Management Teams maintain and manage product history, forecasts and promotional demand. They analyze internal demand stream information, and categorizes according to demand patterns. They also may input sales/marketing intelligence for use in forecast systems, working with sales organization(s), national sales accounts, marketing, and related forecasting and planning groups.

Position Overview:    

The Business Analyst – Demand - reports into the Head of Demand Analytics and is responsible for building, automatizing, and optimizing reports and templates to improve overall forecasting process for Global Team – America, EMEA and AP. 80%.
He/She will provide local support to AP region demand analysts - 20%

He/She partners: 

with the regional Demand Sales Analysts, Regional sales and Product management teams in the consensus forecast creation, 
with the DIA and TEIS Team on forecasting tools improvement projects – IBP, Machine learning and AI.


Prepare various reports/templates for demand consensus reviews with Regional Demand Analysts as primary internal customers,
In a continuous improvement logic enhance existing demand analysis supports to improve forecasting results but also save time to global Demand team and to internal stakeholders like Sales, Product Management and Finance.
Work with IT team on forecast system (IBP) enhancement projects,
Support to Regional AP forecasting process will help the Business Analyst to develop business acumen for the region and leverage analytics to understand business trends.
Consistent attendance, understanding of and compliance with all TE policies, rules and regulations.

What your background should look like:

Key Qualifications, Experiences and Knowledge


Bachelor’s degree, or its equivalent, in related field, such as finance, marketing, business administration, supply chain, operations management or industrial engineering required. APICS or other certification preferred.  
5+ years of experience in data analysis in S&OP, demand planning, or supply planning area. 
Experience with analytical/forecasting systems/software – SAP IBP, Business Object, JDA preferred.  
General understanding of statistical forecasting methods and terminology.  
Knowledge on artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) is preferred.  

Excellent analytical and advanced computer skills, with ability to mine data and derive critical and salient information from diverse inputs. 
Be able to develop, aggregate and maintain huge databases 
Excellent communication skills (clear, concise oral and written presentations) and interpersonal skills.  
Effective negotiation and influencing skills, capable of being unbiased and fair in achieving compromise solutions and consensus positions.  
Quick learner, capable of adapting to new systems and developing and continuously improving processes. 
Fluent in English. 
Ability to work in an international environment and willing to travel periodically (short time periods) including abroad if needed.
