DEMAND ANALYST II
Job Overview
The Demand Analyst reports to the Asia Demand Manager and is responsible for forecast accuracy at a part number level for assigned locations and products. The Demand Management Team collaborates closely with the sales and product management teams to develop a consensus forecast and effectively addresses any significant changes or anomalies in demand trends. Strong communication skills and analytical capabilities are essential for this role, as forecast accuracy will be the key performance metric.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
• Facilitate the global Sales and Operating Planning (S&OP) process by conducting a reliable and efficient monthly demand review for the designated territory and product lines.
• Collaborate with the sales team and product management to create an accurate and comprehensive consensus forecast, which includes organizing formal monthly demand review meetings.
• Partner with the sales organization, global product management team, and Finance team in the quarterly commit sales forecasting process and annual sales budgeting process.
• Deliver monthly product mix forecasts to the operations and supply chain teams, highlighting potential opportunities for growth as well as any associated risks
• Track the demand plan against actual results on a monthly basis, assessing forecast accuracy and providing detailed insights to operations. Hold key contributors - such as product management, sales, and operations - accountable for their performance.
• Drive continuous improvement on processes and methodologies for collecting information and predicting demand.
• Consistent attendance, understanding of, and compliance with company policies, rules, and regulations.
Key Tasks
• Gather, analyze, validate, and translate information from customers, channel partners, sales, and product management to establish a customer/part number level forecast.
• Lead the monthly S&OP pre-demand consensus meeting for assigned territory and product type assignments, with product and sales management. Work out consensus forecast.
• Prepare forecast accuracy measurements, analyze differences, and implement or recommend improvements.
• Perform root cause analysis of all appropriate forecasts to demand exceptions at the item level.
• Collect, evaluate, and interpret data using statistical and probability analyses.
• Collect and analyze customers, competitors, and industry trend data from internal (sales team, channel sales team, product management, industry marketing, and other external sources.
• Understand assigned territory and product family – strategies, market share, key customers, sales channel, etc.
• Communicate to gain alignment. Deliver high-quality, clear, concise oral and written presentations to convey information to the S&OP team and stakeholders.
• Identify potential opportunities and risks, and work with the S&OP team to develop action plan, secure resources, and execute.

What your background should look like:
Key Qualifications, Experiences, and Knowledge
1. Bachelor’s degree, or its equivalent, in a related field, such as finance, marketing, business administration, supply chain, operations management, or industrial engineering required. APICS or other certification is preferred.
2. Excellent analytical and advanced computer skills (such as Excel), with the ability to mine data and derive critical and salient information from diverse inputs.
3. Experience with analytical systems and tools (IBP/SAP/Data Warehouse, etc.) preferred.
4. Quick learner, capable of adapting to new systems and developing and continuously improving processes.
5. Excellent communication skills (clear, concise oral and written presentations), interpersonal skills, effective negotiation and influencing skills, capable of being unbiased and fair in achieving compromise solutions and consensus positions.
6. 3-5 years experience in S&OP, demand planning, supply chain, material planning, or capacity planning.
7. Fluent in Putonghua and English.
8. Project management and problem-solving skills.
9. Ability to work independently in an international environment and willing to travel periodically (short periods) including abroad if needed.
