CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT ANALYST IV

Job Overview

This position is responsible for providing logistic and supply chain support to Channel sales and distributors to ensure ease of doing business while also reducing the internal financial cost-to-serve, managing and developing projects for long tail products, such as master 
1. Provide Logistic and Supply Chain support to Channel Sales and Distributors
Work with TE Logistics team, BU partners, as well as distributor partners to develop and implement solutions to improve operational rhythm between Distributor and TE, and cost efficiency

  • Implement Channel Direct Shipment mode (X-company orders) for TE HK distributors’ outbound shipments – ad-hoc basis as requested by Bus
  • Regional Distribution Center Footprint Integration and Optimization
  • CBU FOC in the Quarterly Asia logistics’ committee meetings.
  • Responsible for understanding the Strategic Distributor Supply Chain requirements. Benchmarks and implements best practices.
  • Expeditiously resolves Supply Chain related issues and validates corrective actions have taken place.

Attainment of key Service Metrics such as Ship-To-Schedule, Lead-Time Accuracy and NPS score (supply chain related), cost reduction $K/year, cost-to serve %

  • Works jointly with the Regional Logistic team to determine areas of cost reduction opportunities and implements projects to achieve the cost saving target (reflected in each BU logistics team)
  • Liaise with Solution Center team/ BU material team to achieve the BU STS target every month

2.Manage and develop projects for long tail products
Maintain and manage existing projects, providing supports in daily operation, as well as analysis on the project performance. 

  • Lead the implementation of the Scrap Recovery Program and the TE-Waldom PFO program in the APAC region
  • Drive consistent quarterly global touchpoints with BUs and Channel to review the Scrap Recovery, PFO program revenue numbers, as well as ROI of distributor master program if any.

Support and implement in improvement of existing projects and new projects development, including but not limited to process automation, system enhancement, new projects etc.

3.Seek for opportunities of continuous improvement
Works across Channel and BUs to build strong collaborative relationships related to project development and implementation

  • Liaise with the TE BU Stakeholders and Channel Partners to create new business processes, policies and practices that will provide integrated system efficiencies
  • Organize the monthly Channel pricing meeting with Asia sales/ pricing team
  • Interface with TE Information Systems teams and other Key Functional Leads to designs, develops and implements projects related to process improvements.
  • Participates on X-Function Process Improvement Teams, esp. on pricing and logistics related processes
  • Leads Cross-Regional activities in respective projects
  • Drives the full deployment of EDI transactions with Distributors

Qualification

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree on Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or Marketing
  • Master’s degree a plus
  • APICS Certification or Green/Black Belt Certified a plus
  • 5+ years’ experience in Supply Chain or project management
  • Strong Project Management & Communication Skills
  • Working knowledge of Operational Advantage/Continuous Improvement Tools
  • Knowledge of TE systems and services in different TE functions preferred
