Job Overview

TE Connectivity, Appliance Business Unit (APL), Business Development Team is seeking an experienced, innovative with entrepreneur spirit BD Manager to lead business development in APAC region. To identify, develop, and implement near-term and long-term business development strategies relating to the development of new products and technologies focus on Appliance applications. 
This position will be based in China (preferrable in Shanghai) and report to Global BD Director. This individual will work as part of APL PM team with a strong link to APAC sales/FAE team and customers. The role will drive to develop new product development NPS with deliverable actions as key KPI.

A.    Ability to convert customer VOCs into PRD, new product development as content growth engine
B.    NPI TERP revenue generated for APAC region (defined in SFDC) 
C.    Building up and refining 3~5 years long-term new product development Roadmap

Key Responsibilities
1.    Lead the new product portfolio definition, deliver regular training to front line sales/FAE.
2.    Initiate and cooperate with Sales team to organize regular tech days/seminars to Key Accounts, regular meetings with customers to collect/synchronize/update roadmap portfolio expansion with new product development as output continuously. 
3.    Follow up and tracking Appliance industry trend, co-work with R&D team to assess innovative technologies and identify advanced product and project pipeline. 
4.    Dual responsibility to lead this new product development as APAC regional full cycle Product Manager, identify new opportunity and pipeline with Sales team, create new product with business plan, product champion of the new product development full journey to Go-To-Market strategy plan, and responsible to set up Pricing Strategy for this new product.     
5.    Support sales with new project/product inquiries (defined in RTS). 

•    Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering or Business is preferred; other technical disciplines will also be considered) or equivalent industry experience.
•    Strong knowledge of Appliance industry and application, previous experience in Appliance OEM or tier 1 module supplier is preferred  
•    10+ years of BD/PM/Sales and/or technical(B2B) marketing experience in the Appliances field or a related industry.
•    Willingness to travel for business (25%)
•    Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills to influence technical managers and facilitate B2B collaboration. 
•    Negotiation & Persuasion skills
•    Strategic planning skills and ability to translate corporate and business unit goals & objectives into realistic marketing & sales plans.

•    Computer literacy: Proficient with basic computer applications such as MS-Office Suite, SFDC, SAP
