Responsibilities will include the following:
• Prospect FTAM growth opportunities. Identify, evaluate and develop ideas/sales leads for new products, application extensions of existing products and new sales channels for application tooling.
• Develop and implement programs and methods for encouraging generation of new product and application ideas
• Collect and evaluate market information, competitive intelligence and communicate to GATD management in the form of weekly and or project reviews.
• Identify opportunities where application tooling can support TE core business in new and existing technologies through close contact with the Engineering and Product Management teams of the other BU’s.
• Identification of new application technologies through fluency in available internet data and industry information, participation in trade/product shows, seminars, industry trade organizations, and regional sales meetings.
• Quantify new opportunities and risk assessment
• Reporting directly to the Regional Sales Leader.
• Handover to Product Management takes place at G0
• KPI : $5M potential new revenue generation from new products or new applications per year, based on G0 P&L.
Requirements & Qualifications The ideal candidate must have:
• Minimum bachelor’s degree in engineering or Marketing or Management required. MBA is preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years experience in Electronics Assembly industry general or minimum 5 years in Application Tooling in Electronics assembly (I.e. PCB or Wire Harness Assembly) segments
• Fluent English in all aspects of communication plus at least one additional language skills relevant to the serving territory / region
• Strong results-orientation and execution characteristics
• Ability to develop and execute strategies in support of market segments, customers and products consistent with the overall business plan
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross functionally and to influence without direct authority
• Embraces a positive can-do attitude in all situations
• Ability to influencing the decision making process of indirect reports and stake holders
• Strong project management and negotiation skills
• Excellent interpersonal, written and presentation communication skills at all levels (Customers, Sales, Operations and Senior Management), including speaking effectively to large groups, and developing and delivering presentations
• Unquestionable ethics and respect for individual dignity
• Ability to effectively organize, prioritize and accomplish multiple conflicting tasks, make intelligent, timely decisions and solve problems independently
• Computer proficient including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook
• Ability and willingness to travel as required. Mobility 50%.
