Job Overview

Conducts analysis, design, evaluation, modification, testing and implementation of enterprise wide systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Baan, PeopleSoft) across functional areas. Conducts analysis of systems specifications and uses the latest analysis/diagramming tools to represent business/technical processes. Develops conversion and system implementation plans. Prepares and obtains approval of system and programming documentation. Recommends changes in development, maintenance and system standards. Coordinates system upgrade activity. Trains user personnel in the conversion and implementation of the system.

ROLE OBJECTIVE 

We are seeking a skilled Thingworx IoT Production Support Agent to join our DMS team (Digital Management Solution). The ideal candidate will provide critical support for our Industrial Internet of Things (IoT) applications built with PTC ThingWorx. This role will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing IoT solutions that monitor and control connected products and systems in manufacturing environments. This role requires a strong understanding of the Thingworx IoT platform, manufacturing operations, and the ability to interpret and support existing applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Provide technical support for Thingworx IoT applications in production environments
•    Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Thingworx mashups and services
•    Interpret and maintain existing JavaScript code within Thingworx services
•    Collaborate with development teams to implement fixes and improvements
•    Monitor system performance and propose optimizations
•    Create and maintain documentation for support processes and procedures
•    Provide guidance on best practices for using Thingworx in manufacturing contexts
•    Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for IoT solutions

EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE

•    Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related technical field
•    PTC Thingworx Certification (preferred)
•    Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and terminology

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

•    2+ years of experience in IoT support or related field
•    Hands-on experience with the Thingworx platform, including troubleshooting mashups and services
•    Proficiency in JavaScript and basic understanding of PostgreSQL
•    Familiarity with manufacturing concepts such as workstations, quality inspections, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
•    Basic understanding of data analytics and visualization in manufacturing contexts

SKILLS
•    Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and analytical skills
•    Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal
•    Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
•    Experience in providing remote support and troubleshooting
•    Familiarity with agile methodologies and ticketing systems
•    Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles in IoT environments
•    ITIL expertise and experience is a plus
