Manufacturing Engineering and Maintenance Manager

We are currently seeking a new colleague for our Engineering department that has aptitude to take over a role of Manufacturing Engineering Manager. Ultimately this includes taking over responsibility of developing and managing engineering team. You will work closely with current Engineering Manager in preparation for role takeover.
You will be able to:
- Lead Engineering team, set up priorities, individual goals and department KPI´s
- Cooperate on cross functional base with another departments within company and with central functions of our international team as well
- Take responsibility for production process preparation in accordance to company standards and legal demands
- Active participate on company footprint, work on company layout, design of workstations and production lines, inclusive lean material handling operations
- Lead team of up to 10 people to design and execute process improvement and cost reduction activities
- Be a valuable member of international team, responsible for new project launch and communication with customers
- Participate on tooling design and ensure necessary production equipment to build lean and effective production operations and achieve company quality and safety standards
- Participate on investment plan preparation, prepare necessary files for investment approval, prepare department budget
- Initiate TPM activities and machine spare parts management
- Take responsibility for facility maintenance and ensure plant operation according Slovak legislation
- Initiate continuous improvement activities in accordance with company procedures
- Ensures compliance with health and safety laws, regulations, and guidelines, including IATF, EPA and EHS requirements
Ideal profile for this position:
- Completed studies in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, electrical engineering or comparable training
- 5 + years of relevant work experience
- Experience with leading teams is an advantage
- Thorough understanding of plant engineering, industrial engineering, and tooling
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- A high level of creativity and the ability to work independently
- Ability to deal with multiple priorities simultaneously, multitasking and setting priorities based on work requirements and internal/external customer expectations
- Independent and systematic way of working as well as very good organizational and communication skills
- Fluent knowledge of Slovakian and English
- Ability to work in an International environment in a Matrix Structure
