BU  / FUNCTION DESCRIPTION 

ROLE OBJECTIVE 
•    Responsible for Power interconnection solution product (Busbar/Connector/Cable Assembly) development, which is used for data communication or Hyperscale computers. Provide customer innovation solutions as well as manage the engineer documents following TE system procedure. 
•    Coach and mentor team members on optimal designs for simulation, including tool and results interpretation.  Coach team members on customer interactions relative to design, performance and optimization

Job Requirements

•    Support customer/team on power integrity modeling and performance simulation. Provide professional advice on the design of product/system to optimize the product/system performance.
•    Provide leadership and manage the complete product development life cycle (starting from voice of customer, ideation, Design Conceptualization, Creation of product specifications, 3D design, Prototyping, Product testing, Product qualification, Project Execution & Sustenance till product end of life)
•    Build a deep understanding of market and customer needs by fostering a connection between the business engineering teams and the customer engineering teams
•    Work closely with customer/sales/PM in getting the right and clear VOC (voice of customer), make engineering evaluation/proposal to customer. 
•    Maintain a System level understanding of customer application and the Busbar design/concept necessary for providing a solution to the customers’ expectation. 
•    Follow the LEANPD Project Process to support project team from PDE perspective to complete the Project on time, quality, and budget. Drive the developments and release of products, scale-up through stage-gate reviews, ensuring milestone commitments are maintained.
•    Technical support to customer, sales, PM, and plant/PBL team. Conduct necessary test, engineering analysis, trouble shooting and verification. 
•    Work with global manufacturing resources, procurement, and outside suppliers to meet all TE technical, quality, and cost objectives
•    Introduce breakthrough technologies by partnering technically with our customers worldwide and with our TE Global competency centers to enhance business revenue & growth.  Apply engineering best practices to reduce cost and sustain existing products to meet customer’s cost targets.
•    Bridge between the NPD team and plant team for new product launch in the plant or PBL Supplier. Provide local support from engineering to move the new launch smoothly.
•    Lead the engineering change qualification together with the cross-function team and maintain the engineering documents in the system to the latest version.

CRITICAL EXPERIENCE

•    10+ years of working experience in new product development-related positions and 5+ years of working experience in product development of connector\cable\busbar assembly.
•    Experience in working closely with the test team and capable of test report reviewing\ root cause analysis for performance failure. 
•    This is a highly technical position and requires an individual can work independently.
•    Experience in product compliance certification (Product, Safety, Environmental substance control) 
•    Experience in design for manufacturing and assembly (DFMA), design for cost (DFC), design for manufacturing (DFM)
•    Experience in working with a global team is a plus.

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $187,100 – $280,600 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
