Role Definition


As the global manager of E-mobility Product Platforming for Charger Inlets, you will work with diverse and cross-functional teams to convert the Product visionary strategies into tangible new products sold to our customers. You will help us implement the E-mobility global platform strategy by developing, planning, and executing product and process advanced development projects to achieve business profit objectives. To be successful, you will be a strong leader that communicates a shared vision while driving accountability, mitigating risks, and excellent project execution so that we continue to lead in the fast-moving, leading edge, E-mobility market. You will ensure that our global, and often complex programs are delivered on time, on cost, and on quality.




  • Plan and execute Advanced Development Projects (ADPs) and Platform projects to achieve Product Business Plan (PBP) objectives.
  • Works with the Product Managers to ensure the PBP’s have proper planning for ADP’s and Platform programs.
  • Leads cross-functional teams to follow the Platforming process to prioritize program delivery and effective resource optimization.
  • Provides leadership to Project Managers that are executing Programs to ensure plans are created and executed to business goals.
  • Ensures that the Platform programs meet their profitability targets through the implementation of proactive cost planning to deliver projects on time, on cost and on quality.
  • Effectively manages risks and changes across the projects that make up the platform programs.
  • Finds synergies between Platform projects to reduce resource requirements, to reuse designs and components, and provide higher value to the platform programs.
  • Resolves conflicts and ensures project and technical issues are properly escalated and resolved.
  • Clearly communicates roles, expectations, and accountabilities to all team members on a regular basis.
  • A problem solver that works across organizational boundaries and functions to drive improvement and resolve issues.


What your background should look like:


Education and Experience


  • Automotive Industry experience or equivalent Platforming experience.
  • Bachelor’s and/or graduate degree in a technical field, Engineering is preferred.
  • Formal program and project management education and/or PgMP/PMP certification are a plus.
  • 3-5 yrs in Product Management, Program Management, Project Management or Engineering Management, 7-10 years preferred.
  • Leading global or multi-regional teams in a matrix organizational structure or equivalent.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a fluency in English.
  • Willingness to travel globally up to 25% as required
  • Preferred: experience in E-mobility applications, component manufacturing or development planning.

•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $150,000 – 220,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
